Manchester Airport has won prestigious industry recognition for customer service and holds the title 'Best UK Airport'.
T3 for budget airlines like Ryanair, quite compact and small.
Free 60 minute wifi which is flakey at best, but you can't reconnect next time you only get this free hour once, ever! 👎🏼
Get sleep the night before
Security can be a right pain, particularly at terminal 1. Give yourself plenty of time. On the other hand, terminal 3 is usually problem free. The scanners seem to be hyper sensitive though.
Epassport gates haven't been working for months. Pathetic.
Spacious & huge + beautiful & clean
The man who works in security at the flight transfer made me never want to visit this country again. Made life unnecessarily difficult for every person who passed through.
Horrible place for transfers. Flight transfer took 2 hours. Felt like a 3rd world country airport. Rude security. Hand written boarding pass. Never again.
I like the automated passport checks... well, when they're actually operational...
Fantastic place, very big and fairly well-connected. You can go on a long-haul trip somewhere or just fly on a European holiday.
Not a lot is good here other when the flight takes off lol cheap, low quality airport that is badly designed and so so old and tired .
Loads of places to eat and shop. Some gates require a pretty long walk.
Shops and restaurants in the terminal 1! Difficult to find places to stay over the night.
Free wifi, lots of parking options and plenty of food and drink options in each terminal
Good Selection of Stores and Bars, staff friendly too
Head to Mi Casa in Terminal One for a Burrito!!
Head off early if you're flying today 28th February. M56 closed in both directions.
Nothing good too small and poor lounges.
Security lines are much better and staff are increasingly helpful.
Park at Jet Parks Plus only 5 mins on the bus!
This is a shit shit airport. A cm of snow and they close it. Then the air bridge doesn't work. Then the queue for passport control is a mile long. They've probably damaged my luggage too!
Passport control queues can be seriously bad
Direct flight to HKG
For a major UK airport there's a striking dearth of quality food/drink options to help pass a long connection. Easily reachable from Manchester city center via metrolink (tram) or regional rail.
Get your Boots meal deal for £3.79 (one main, one snack, one drink) before boarding. Much better than airplane food!
Easily accessible by train. Place is good looking
Child unfriendly: your pram is sent to the carousel leaving you to navigate stairs, long walks and slow passport control holding your kid. Nothing to do or where to sit in departures. Gloomy&dark
Efficient airport. Get the train close to t1 to go to the city center
Joe's kitchen And coffee house is Great ! Try the camembert berry burger !
Great airport, quick security and good transport links. Costa in terminal 3 is a good place to stop for a drink.
T1 Security is inefficient and processes are over the top. Waste of time.......
Business lounge for breakfast ! Lovely
Bad crowd management and signs/ announcements not clear
What happened to this place in the recent years?! - used to be nice&easy, now looks like a coach station at peak times.
Burger king breakfast just starts the holiday off nice!
The queues are ridiculous. Blame bad management, or bad planning.
Helpful services from customer services. Try to get some good bargain before flying off
Giraffe is great for breakfast. Get the Huevos Rancheros.
Terminal 1 power points to charge your phone/plug in your laptop are by Voyager where the disabled seats are.
Pre-pay for your taxi with Airport Taxis outside arrivals as it's a set fare & loads cheaper than a Hackney cab!
Quite possibly the WORST airport I've ever been to! Airport security queues take forever, limited seating areas once you're through passport control. Sort it Manchester, shame on you!
OK shopping for being such a small airport. You always have to take of your shoes at security... often very long waiting at security.
Tip - security checks are very thorough and take a long time. Make sure you get here early
Very long walk with three lifts on the way from train station to Terminal 3
Avoid this airport at all cost. Good luck when you need to kill some time.
The Starbucks also has a couple of plug sockets by the bench seats
There are plug sockets in T1 next to the seats in the corridor to the toilets. Usually not as crowded as the rest of the terminal
Huge aiport with great views and facilities for planespotters
Lovely Aspire lounge
