Construction on the Manhattan Bridge began in 1896. At the time, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world!
Not nearly as "beautiful" as its sibling, The Brooklyn Bridge, this piece of infrastructure gets the job done, which is to help convey you across a deadly river, so stop yer bitchin!
Don't check in and drive, it's dangerous!
Great views on the d train!
Don't die. Also, never stop driving. Also, don't die.
Great dedicated west & east bike lane on the north side of the bridge is much better than the Brooklyn bridge for fast rides and no chance for taking out a pedestrian.
Runners: go here to hill sprint.. oh and check out the view while you're at it.
The B, D, N, and Q subways all cross the Manhattan Bridge - enjoy the above-ground cell service while you have it!
Upper roadway is always best!
Make NYC Your Gym on your lunch hour by visiting the Manhattan Bridge! Take a brisk 1.3 mi walk for some mid-day physical activity. More on Making NYC Your Gym: http://on.nyc.gov/T6Gc9J
Best view of Downtown Manhattan is at night, but nothing compared to the view from the Brooklyn Bridge

Its real nice to walk at nights.
Rejoice and thank God for your life after you've cleared Canal Street O_o.

Cell service on your B D N or Q subway ride!
To remember the lower Manhattan bridge order, remember BMW - Brooklyn, Manhattan, Williamsburg.
If traveling to or from Brooklyn, try to avoid rush hour!
Don't lick the rust.
Welcome to the Big Apple! Consider adding Harlem on your list of places to visit while you're here. You'll be glad you did!
Watch out for Psycho bikers who verbally attack pedestrians who walk on side BUILT 4 pedestrians many YEARS AGO to keep walkers SAFE. Too much aggression shown to weekly walkers & it needs to stop!
Taking the Manhattan Bridge bc the these days the Brooklyn Bridge is closed at night.
Face south for the best view!

Standing under the bridge..the park is starting to take shape. Enjoying the waves.
I don't stop. I keep driving.
Beautiful view of the Brooklyn bridge, the Harbor and NYC.
This bridge is overlooked next to its more stylish sister (Brooklyn Bridge). But don't try to have a conversation when the subway trains are coming through!
If you check in here while you're driving... it may be your last check in
Nice views on clear days.
If you don't check in while on the train your phone is crap.
ITS A NICE WALK
I love this scenery! I love NYC! I was born to be a New Yorker!
