As a student, you'll come to love this place. Cheap to average priced eats (you'll never find $4 ramen anywhere else) and the service is friendly too. Get the takoyaki, one of the best you can get
As a student, try this place out. If this place doesn't fit your budget, I don't know any other place that will.
My go-to is the negitama gyudon.
Will come back to try the takosen!
All the Soups
Great great restaurant, cheap and delicious :) best Takoyaki in town
Very good food and portions for the price. It gets really hot in the restaurant in the summer, but you can ask to sit in the food court or order some ice mochi! Combo is totally worth it.
Cheap eats. Niku udon with pork $5.99 & extra noodles for $1.10.
You get a LOT of spinach for $2. The potato salad and onigiris were warm which shocked me. Tastes good though. Yakionigiri = huge hit. Niku udon = yum. Jumbo inari.. They didn't lie. It's humongous!!
AMAZING service, FAST AND SUPER GOOD food, there's nothing bad I an ever say about this place ^.^ takoyaki's amazing as well #takoyaki #japaneseeatery
A little crowded, but squeeze in: staff are friendly and helpful. The Yaki Onigiri (grilled rice balls) are fantastic, filling and cheap.
Best bang for your buck at Village by the Grange. Love their food!
It was epic! Best onigiri ever and in general awesome modern Japanese food (and I've been to Japan, so I can vouch for it)!
Great Beef Udon
Oscar R. means IF you order Tsukimi udon make sure you add meat to it...when I first read his tip I thought he meant order it as in its their best dish.
Niku udon with pork is soooo good! Cheap food that tastes great.
Ramen was okay...soup was a bit spicy for me
The waitress suggest me with their curry don, I got it with beef: believe me, the best or not is not for me to say, but this bowl of gorgeous , will make me happy for a long time:)
Must try takoyaki!! It's worth to wait for 20 mins. Yummmmy
This place is a hidden gem. Nice cheap affordable udon/ramen
Udon is very good though rice or "don" leaves much to be desired. Some overpriced cold vegetable dishes.
New additions to the menu
New menu items for 2013!
Their takoyaki is a must try!!! Worth waiting 20 min. Combo is also a good deal for an extra $2. You can get noodle refills :9
Get the niku udon with pork rather than beef. The beef shreds way too much and becomes beef dust :( The pork tastes like love!
whatever you do, get the tsukimi udon with beef.
Pudding not that great. Sesame ice cream is just ok
Udons are all very good
Service friendly but occasionally spotty - have been twice and each time an order was forgotten or had to be followed up
Onigiri (rice ball) is really good...and I don't understand why
Best takoyaki I've had in Toronto, as good as the ones I've had in Japan
Best takoyaki in the city! Curry don the best too!!
Order the niku udon - you won't be disappointed! AND noodle refill only $1.10.
Try the Takoyaki - Amazing as always! Must try if you never had...
Best sit down place here. Sit by the upstairs window for a power outlet.
If you come here for Takoyaki call 20-30 minutes before to make your order. It takes about 20 minutes to make. Here's their phone number (416) 979-6763.
Watch out for the mayor here. He has a hidden agenda.
Craving comfort food? Try any of the curries.
thank you based udon god
Get the combo. With takosen. And yes, it's worth the time it takes to cook it.
Come here for Ichimokukai - first Thursday every month -Canada Japan Society gathering!
They have a Japanese dark beer here - very rare! Give it a try! Asahi Black! Or is it Kirin Black?
dont forget their menu on the wall!!! their jumbo inari is Amazing !! also try their pudding if you are craving for dessert! it won't let you down~
For veg heads the wake udon is as good as the beef. Remember to ask for veggie broth though.
Any udon with extra noodles is amazing. Combo it with takosen and a salad for deliciousness!
Kake udon combo w/ salad and takosen is probably one of the most satisfying meals for under $10 (with tax & generous tip) that I've ever had in this city.
Order the Takoyaki (deep fried octopus). It is seriously the best thing ever!
Fantastic japanese street food. Not expensive.
