People tend to check in during these times:
Completely different to any other dining experience I've had. I thought I would hate it but the abrupt service and fast pace is all part of the fun. Plus the food is excellent!
Good food, but terrible staff manners. One of them gave us the impression that he didn't want to be there. The trick to get their attention and the service you want is by yelling at them
A classic yum cha institution, note there's a holiday surcharge if you're around during public holiday. Some #vegetarian dishes, ask about the sauce to double check.
TERRIBLE service! Staff are so rude, they brought the food out all scattered & we never got some of it. Thank god the food was amazing when we eventually got it or this place would be a total write off
My fave yum cha in the world! Everything is great but save room for mango pancakes from the dessert trolley 🍨
Food didn't taste particularly amazing, service was actually quite poor, had to order 3 times before coke was delivered and we got billed 3 times for the one drink. NOT HAPPY!
One of the best places for yum cha / dim sum in the city, specially the varieties are top, quality could be better
Skip the seasoned cuttlefish (top left in pic). It's rather hard. Dessert is so-so. Otherwise the other dim sums are generally good!
I personally like yum cha. I normally goes to this place if the Zilver get crowded. The food was good. Love the dinner also!
Delicious Cantonese food! Try the duck hot pot for dinner. Service was usual, but got many tasty desserts to finish off the meal.
When we visited there were hardly any carts going round and the rude grunting from staff seemed a little less cute. The char siu was dry.
Authentic Cantonese dim sum. Pretty empty on weekdays. Many push carts dim sum approaches our table. Recommended.
Yes the staff are rude, but the mango pancakes alone make it worth putting up with. Hold on for a central seat.
The dining room is beautiful & the service incredibly efficient. The yum cha is standard. Good not great.
Try not to get seated in a far corner. The yum cha carts rarely come to you and you end up with little selection.
Come here for overpriced yum cha, exceedingly poor service and if you like arguing about mystery items on your bill. Not impressed.
It can get busy, expect minor table delays and not so great table service. the only thing keeping me going is the food they serve
Don't get there just before closing. They'll rush you to eat and you basically just get whatever is left over....
Chicken feet tasted bland, food that we did not ask for was given and they managed to get our orders wrong three times
Rude staff, however, incredible yum cha. Want to highlight sesame mochi, no words can explain how good they are at Marigold.
Busy on sundays around the time when the Chinese church finishes.. better to go early, but not when it just opened.
Yum cha restaurant is supposed to loud and unorganised. Don't expect to be treated like royalty and you will have a great time.
The beef offal (牛雜) is the best I've tasted in years!
Food is good but the staff are rude. Only place I've ever been to that wants to charge for chilli sauce? Dreaming. I'm going to Dixon street.
Vegetarian dumplings, scallop dumplings, all dumplings, mango pancakes!
Great yum cha available at this enormous place. Very busy, noisy and fun.
Yumcha goodness. Sticky pork ribs and black sesame dessert are highlights.
Shocking service. "Get it yourself" is the response you get when asking for a glass of water.
Finish off a yum cha lunch with the mango pancakes. These delicious packages of mango and cream are to die for!!
Snow pea and prawn dumplings were great. So we're the mango pancakes
Double check your bill. They are notorious for adding on things you didn't order.
JUST BE CAREFUL TO NOTE WHAT YOU HAVE ORDERED FOR YUM CHA before the chop card is taken away from you.
Incredible, incredible prawn dumplings. A perfect non-gluten lunch.
Get there early Sunday to avoid the line up
Have the mango pancakes if they're available!
If you are desperate, take your stamp card and hunt down the prawn dumplings
Giant old school yum cha in the city. Like stepping back into the seventies.
Try not to get stuck in a private room, its hard to get served there!
Slow and rude staff. Great Peking duck though.
Make sure you can speak mandarin or you have a good body language! Lol
Try the Jellyfish with the Suckling Pig combination
Extremely frantic and very loud. Avoid if you have a headache!
all the yum chas are abandoning carts. not this one. trolley-tastic!
No what they used to be, go for yum cha rather than al a carte
Not the best yum cha in town, but it is convenient
I touched my junk with my chopstick... It may now be your chopstick.
I love the food in here but the customer service is horrible.
Not good, in fact a very disappointing dinner... Will not return.
Have salt and pepper squid, duck, mango pancakes.
Crispy Shantung Chicken - delicious!!
