Marquette University is named for Fr. Jacques Marquette, S.J. (1637-75), a French, Jesuit missionary and explorer of North America. Visit Central Mall to see his statue standing 8 feet 2 inches tall.
Get your Pilgrim Passport at
Rollerblade or bike to class when you live off campus, gets you there in half the time!
The library (on 14th St at Wisconsin Ave) has a great cafe and study area on it's second floor bridge.
Just because the campus is located in an urban setting, don't let that make you nervous. There are hundreds of Blue Light phones, cameras, and other security measures.
Wisconsin Ave. divides the campus in half - on one side are the academic buildings and Gesu church, on the other side are the dorms, union, and office buildings
There are helpful maps to keep you on track. Feel free to speak up and ask for help-- most students are friendly and well informed enough to point you in the right way.
