Nice ramen, a fulfilling vegetarian option, and yummy tonkatsu. Be prepared to wait if it's during peak hours. Cash only.
Shoyu with deep fried garlic!
Ramen was tasty
Try the negitoro and pot stickers
This is absolutely the best ramen shop in bay area. Kuro is the choice if you go there for the first time. One catch is that they take cash only.
This place is cheap on their customers. 3/4 of your bowl is bean sprouts and 1/4 is noodles. Also why do they give kimchee? Isn't it a Japanese restaurant...
The combos are a great way to fill up if you're feeling hungry!
See those garlic chips on your table? Add them to your ramen for a garlicky crunch! Don't forget to bring cash, by the way.
Not impressed with Kuro ramen at all - bland, and just not tasty. Special add-ons don't make sense with it either. Complimentary chips and kimchi are pretty good though.
Owned by Koreans, the ramen is good but doesn't live to the hype. If you are coming here for the garlic ramen you should head to Ramen Dojo in San Mateo.
The tonkotso ramen is great, a must have. A small glass of beer is really cheap too. This place is cash only, so be prepared.
Ramen is good
Very straightforward. They don't try to pretend it's something else but a noodle soup, as some other places do, and they succeed. Recommended.
Tonkatsu ramen! My favorite of the Castro ramen spots.
Best ramen in Mountain View! Get the black garlic ramen and a side.
Hand pulled noodles tasting really great. They gave a vegetarian option with a vegetarian broth.
Get the Combo B
Amazing Bento Box!
Black garlic soup has a unique flavor. Noodles made in house in the front window. Very cool :)
Tonkotsu ramen. And this place is cash only.
The ramen and potstickers are to die for
Bean sprout overload. I'd ask for it on the side. Kuro pork FTW
Maru Ichi's Kuro Ramen
Super impressed! Kuro ramen is bomb!
Great but BRING CASH! this place is cash only
The kuro tsukemen broth was too salty and lukewarm. The already cold noodles, though delicious, came out colder when dipped in the broth. This is not the tsukemen you are looking for.
Fresh house- made noodles! Skip the California rolls.
The noodles in the ramen are amazing!
Cash only! Big portions and cheap (I'm from NY where the ramen is 16 a bowl). Delicious.
The spicy ramen lives up to its name.
One of the few local ramen houses to make their own noodles and specialize in kuro (black garlic) ramen. Add garlic chips and housemade kimchi for some real slurping excitement. Cash only!
Kuro is fantastic. However, the combos isn't too impressive. You can save the cash and grab some desserts.
Do you ever read reviews, make a decision and then find them so far from the truth? I ordered the kura combo A. And it wasn't the best. Not sure what the hype is about. Potstickers were good though.
If its too hot for traditional hot ramen then try the Hiyashi Chika. It's really yummy!
They only accept cash here. There is a sketchy ATM in back available but if I were you I'd try to bring cash ahead of time
Miso ramen is yummy. Cash only.
Try their fried chicken ( Chicken Karage) it's Japanese style fries chicken and it's soooo good!
Try one of combos but do not forget to bring cash...
Kuro Ramen with Kakuni. Best ramen in the bay.
Get the Kuro (blackened garlic) ramen. Real unique
avoid extra noodle. try black one.
Kuro Ramen is the best.
The kimchi is good! Not too spicy.
Curry is DELICIOUS. Bring cash :)
Try the Kuro Ramen - #comfortfood
Order Spicy Ramen...add a bunch of the dried garlic; [tastier Kuro Ramen w/ a kickaru!!!!]...<3 the White Tuna Udon Bowl (huge slabs of delicious fish :-p mmmm) Always bring cash- don't b a fool!
