Serving up delicious Southern food since 1945. 1st time visitors be sure to ask for a complimentary pot likker! While there take a look at the photos lining the walls of famous folks who have visited.
Enjoy authentic made-from-scratch Southern fare and then walk down two blocks to the famous Fox Theatre.
1st time visitors get a comp pot likker. Mac + Cheese, tomatoe pie and the chicken and dumplings are a MUST! Come hungry bc they don't skimp on the portions.
Fried green tomatoes = amazing.
The chicken pot pie is awesome!
The chicken is some of the best southern-fried chicken I've ever had!
Save room for the banana pudding.
Mary Mac’s is known for such Dixie classics as Brunswick stew, pot likker with a cornbread muffin, and chicken with dressing. Macaroni and cheese is not to be missed.
Disagree with previous tip from others - the sweet potato soufflé is great. Order it as one of you sides instead of getting a dessert.
Note to first time visitors: be sure to ask for a complimentary pot likker! Don't know exactly what that is? You'll just have to wait and find out!
Lots of history here; however, the food can be hit or miss sometimes. Our waiter John was great though! He handled our group of 25 like a champ!
For over 60 years, Mary Mac’s has set the standard in Southern cooking in Atlanta.
Avoid the sweet potato soufflé, it's got way too much nutmeg. Apparantly the peach cobbler also is over-spiced.
Ribs and Chicken fried Chicken. Of course, a must is their Georgia Peach Cobbler!
Please do not get the greens! Other then that everything else is great!!!
I love the fried chicken. I almost always get it when I come here. Sundays are usually a little crowded so be prepared.
If you're a vegetarian/pescatarian, in addition to the vegetable platter, their fish options are pretty varied and tasty. The blackened tilapia was as good as it gets, especially with some hot sauce!
Try the Pot Likkers!!!
omg .... their food is amazing .... i had the fried talapia with mashed potatoes and mac&cheese and a sweet tea .... but their peach cobbler was not that good to me
Try the "Blackened Porkchops"
Mary Mac's was delicious, traditional, southern food! Well worth the trip!
Greens should be on the to do list
Had really high expectations from the hype, but honestly I don't think I'd go back. The fried okra and green tomatoes were delicious, as well as the cinnamon rolls but everything else was just okay
It was crowded but didn't have to wait long....as always the food was great!
Wine sauce for the bread pudding is a little strong but the Mac n' Cheese was delicious and the greens were to die for!! Roast pork was very tender minus a few cart shards....get you an Arnold Palmer!
Liked the fried green tomatoes. Pork chops weren't bad either.
Best Fried chicken in ATL.

Words cannot express how delectable the food was! Whew! Pot likker, crackling cornbread, old fashioned banana pudding, fried green tomatoes, and that good ole southern hospitality! A must in ATL!
Fried chicken is moist inside and crispy outside. Must get broccoli as a side
Absolutelyyy amazing foood! Anything you try will be delicious... So go for what you're craving! I asked what a tomato pie was and they brought me a sample! GREATTT service! Will def go back!
The sweet potato soufflé is great!!
The sweet potato souffle is on point.
The Banana Pudding is sinful
One of my favorite places to eat in Atlanta. Those sweet rolls are dangerous.
The tomato pie and sweet potato suffle is to die for!
