The question really should be, what isn't good here. AAA rates it a gem and it's deserved. We have a membership, and it's paid off itself in spades. Bubble Day was highly successful.

You can bring guests on your family membership if you have extra spots. Caregiver/Babysitter can take the kids even if primary member isn't going- you just have to send a note!

Make sure you go and visit the 360 degrees Sun at the Science on a Sphere.
If you prefer to park on the street: 2hr pkg & 4hr nearby. Get 4hr ticket @ the machine directly across the street from the group entrance, then drive over to the 2hr area where there's more space.
The Laser Pop planetarium show involves no science. Just a laser light show.
Definitely geared for kids except for IMAX. Planetarium not for anyone over the age of ten

The Maryland Science Center is a wonderful place for kids. They have a wonderful sensory room with all sorts of hands on exhibits for the children. They also have a IMax 360 theater.
