Uneven is how I'd describe Mas. Some things are great, like the bocarones, others not so much like the bravas.
Ever changing, seasonal menu, but the classic 5 are: the dates, papas bravas, artichoke spread, shrimp, & carne asada. Awesome vibe, food, wine, & service.
The tapas are huge!
Service was awfull and do not know what everyone is talking about mas, no service, no presentation, no taste....
Pro tip: sit on the couches toward the back while waiting for a table - they may serve you from there!
Excellent wine list. Carne Asada, the bread, strawberry-rhubarb tart. You really can't go wrong. I went to the best tapas places in Barcelona looking for something better than Mas. Couldn't find it.
New octopus dish was great
Try the the gambas al' parilla, jumbo shrimp grilled in the shell and set off with garlic aioli and gray salt.
Believe it. Or don't believe it. A sweet Sherry with apricot chèvre on toast dessert is mad crack. Tell me I'm wrong & I will diss your palate deficiencies so astutely that you will seek therapy.
Mas is among the places one ought include it in a Best-Test list of C'Ville. Even if you get there early, plan to make an evening of it. Take time. Order batches, flights. Savor. Eat too much. Enjoy.
Every time you eat here will be the best day of your life. Order a couple things at a time, and plan to spend at least 2hrs. Smoked tomatoes, dates, Serrano, carne, and all the seafood. Amazing.
You haven't lived in any meaningful way until you've experienced MAS. It doesn't matter what you eat - you just have to experience it.
The artichoke goat cheese dip, carne asada, bacon wrapped dates, and lamb chops are essential.

The smell of smoke and fresh flowers - Sensory bliss
Smoked tomatoes are irrationally good.
The large pitchers of sangria are amazing- they last forever and are easy on the pocket!
Bacon-wrapped dates and then some. And by some, I mean the carne asada, cheese plate, assorted pomegranate margaritas and a pitcher of sangria to split between fantastic friends.
Is there anything better than boquerones and a glass of wine?
Get the empanachos. I've been to Spain and this did justice to their cuisine and then some. Absolutely incredible!
Service was really bad. Made us very bitter. Thinking maybe they are a little arrogant.
Sit at the bar and watch the chefs churn the food out. That, and the bocadillo.
Mas has great atmosphere, outdoor tables and lovely people.
The Carne Asada is ridiculously amazing and is served w/delicious flatbread. That plus the sangria, gambas a la parilla, goat cheese&artichoke w/fresh-baked bread, empanada, and dates is perfection!
Bacon-wrapped dates. Nuff said.
Bacon wrapped dates are always amazing!
Get the jumbo grilled shrimp and a blood orange margarita.
Fun and has a killer vibe. Don't get mad if you can't get a table fast, it's a popular spot. Gr8 food and drinks (only place I know in town that uses fresh lime juice instead of sourmix 4 margaritas)
