Authentic Italian Cuisine
Nice little find. Good, hearty Italian grub. Go for the lamb ragout, very tasty.
The pizza is amazing! Add the Truffle Fries as a side to make it even better!
Solid Italian food. Nice decor. A bargain in the neighborhood.
Pretty typical NYC Italian faire. Food and service are both fine. You can find better at the same price.
We just wandered in here one Friday evening and were surprised how amazing it is! The ravioli dishes were fantastic! Sit upstairs!
Wine, eggplant parmesan, rigatoni
Bug in water. Seated us then moved us because he made a mistake. Table was for an 8pm reservation. Not too long after he seated another couple (white) at said table which was before 8pm. Never again
All the pasta is great. I highly recommend the gnocchi.
The rigatoni al ragù napoletano is flavorful and hearty, but feel free to skip the underwhelming caprese.
First time: black spagetti was to die for! Creamed spinach was also good. I have my eyes on the pizzas next time! Def coming back.
Get the spaghetti chiterra
Amazing food. Love the bolognese and the eggplant.
Great atmosphere loved the Max pizza
Haven't had better Italian food anywhere else in NYC. Everything on their menu is delish.
Casual and child friendly.
Warm, charming little restaurant with delicious freshly-made pasta at surprisingly affordable prices. The Lamb Ragù was exceptional!
Big portion sizes. Decent prices. Try the rigatoni with eggplant.
Great little place and good value. I had total food envy over the Lasagne despite my meatballs being awesome.
Try the black squid ink pasta with seafood. Perfect on a cold winter day. The calamari is also great. Good value.
Amazing crostini with pate on it!
Friendly service, and you're never rushed.
Horrible service. Understaffed, so the guy was running around frantic. Bleh.
My husband order the chicken and salad taste good but faild on execution was not presentable looked like a big plate of salad and had to dig at bottom for chicken
Orderd the ricotta chees and spinach ravioli in truffle cream sauce to die for !!!! A lil heavy on truffle oil but still delicious.
New tip: get the lamb ragu. 👍
Lamb ragu. Git it
Really great homemade Italian made with a lot of love and attention to detail. I imagine this is the same Max of the east village that won my heart the 1st time. Walk don't run.
Best homemade spaghettini I've ever had. Delicious lamb ragu.
Delicious, underrated cozy place. Get the pasta with the house sauce.
Try the fried olives!
The rigatoni alla Siciliana tastes like heaven
The new pizzas are excellent. Try the Tartufata!
Rudest hostess I've ever had. Told us "I did you a favor" by letting us eat here even though we had a reservation. Never had a worse hosting experience. Never coming back. It's a shame.
Super cute, inexpensive, large portions & not too busy on a Fri. night. What's not to like? The truffle ravioli was delish & gelato could feed 4. I'll def be back to try some other tasty menu items!
I came for the polpette, but couldn't resist the lasagna.
Fuck my life your Tartufata pizza is crazy awesome
Pizza is the best, and the meatloaf!!!
Homemade fettuccine. Get it.
The dish with truffle oil is out of this world.
Fettuccine al Sugo and a glass of red.
Get the fetuccini with max meat sauce, best dish!
Best Italian spot in TriBeCa!
Amazing pasta! So cheap. Why haven't I moved in here already?
Definitely recommend this place! Fettuccine is to die for.
Lots of better and just as well-priced Italian in TriBeCa - every dish was massive and a mess on the plate. Specials were ill-conceived and actually, kind of disgusting.
Charming Italian place that's both inexpensive and delicious. Recommend the gnocchi and ravioli.
Affordable gem in Tribeca. It is all good!
