MAXXI, the National Museum of XXI Century Arts, is the first Italian national institution devoted to contemporary creativity and houses two museums: MAXXI Art and MAXXI Architecture.
Great museum. Especially loved the architecture!
Very nice museum. The building alone is cool. If you like modern art definitely visit here
Nice place and great building.
The tickets are free for architecture students!
Loved the "neon" part!! €8 if you are less than 30yo
Extraordinary design, great perspectives. Very interesting exhibition nowadays; "architecture in uniform".
Wonderful modern building by Zaha Hadid architect ,near is a nice square and good view
One of the most interesting museums in Rome. Very good architecture themed exhibitions.
Try the hot chocolate at the bar, tickets 11e or 8e(reduced), overpriced imo
Amazing building but the most boring modern art museum I have ever visited.
It's the most mind-blowing museum I've ever seen!
One of the best contemporary art museum I've been. Zaha's design fits the exhibition perfectly! Great for an afternoon getaway from the city
awesome art and an awesome building
The modern solo shows at the Zaha Hadid–designed National Museum of XXI Century Arts range from first-rate artists to architecture retrospectives of talents such as Carlo Scarpa.
The building is much more impressive than the exhibition.
Very easy to get to from central Rome and worth a visit
First kids can play in the MAXXI square outdoors. Second they can run through the museum's wide spaces and climb the stairs. There's a chance they will also take an interest in contemporary art.
Works to transform this former army barracks into the Museo delle arti del XXI secolo (MAXXI) have been stop-go since building began in 2001, to a design by Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid.
Recently created by the architect Zaha Hadid, this is not only a contemporary museum but a real Art campus dedicated to creativity! Get updates by signing up for on their official social media page.
The first Architecture's museum in Italy. Visiting it you'll feel like you're walking into a living organism. For very contemporary people.
NOT free on the cultural week
Incredible place: must be visited!!!
wow it's cool
to reach from Termini take 910 bus and go to the last stop.
Rome needed a museum like this!! Good job!!
Definitely check out the Spazio exhibit.
crudo and mozzarella sandwich is great, try it at museum caffeteria
Sometimes open at night - they also serve drinks with music in the courtyard
Il posto è meraviglioso.... Le mostre un po' troppo settoriali.... Dedicate esclusivamente agli architetti!
YAP 2015, da non perdere!
MAXXI contemporain!!
