Maymont was given to us by James and Sallie Dooley, who lived here from 1893 through 1925. They wanted Maymont to be preserved so that new generations could enjoy it as much as they did.

One of Richmond's favorite outdoor settings, Maymont offers walking paths, gardens and over 100 species of animals living on the grounds. Don't forget to bring quarters for the animal feed dispensers!
Best during the spring and early fall, before it gets too cold. Always a favorite place to visit when I come back to town
Arrive early to make reservations to see the Mansion.
