Very cool place to see. Also home to TD Garden, home of the Bruins and Celtics. If you have time before your train, you can even go peruse the team store!

Hungry? Ignore Pizza, McDonald's and Dunkin. Go to the Bier Garden on East Side of station and get a sandwich at the Stonyfield Cafe kiosk. FRESH and HEALTHY and yummy.

If you're fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to take the last train, order a slice from Crazy Dough's Pizza - if it's late enough they'll give you 2 or 3 for the price of 1.

Buy a ticked for outbound trips. It helps when you are in a rush. During any major events at the Garden make sure you get here early and plan ahead.

When taking the green line to catch your commuter train, leave 30 min earlier than you think you need. I've waited @ MFA stop for almost 20 min & then had the train break down. That = missed train.

Try the Citrus Cooler at Emack & Bolio's It's amazing! You can never go wrong with a chocolate covered oreo either (:

If you're heading upstairs to TD Garden for an event, make sure you pre-pay for your ride home on your way up. Having to fight your way to a Charlie Card machine after the game can be frustrating.

If your here during a Garden event, it will be packed. One perk to this is the vendor in the station: cheap water and popcorn (only a dollar).

Orange line gets busy at peak hours but peoples conversations are always worth listening to as long as you don't get caught.

Stay in the terminal until your train is called on the PA...it's courteous to everyone, plus you won't board the wrong train!

Sometimes it seems that the east entrance is less crowded with rabid sports fans during a sports event. Good th know if you are rushing to catch a train.

In case you need more than one Dunkin' Donuts while you wait for your train, you're in luck! There are two, within approximately 200 ft and eyeshot of one another...

Without fail in the winter it's colder inside compared to the outside. And in the summer it's so much hotter down here.

2 shots of whiskey before boarding, and NEVER be in the car with the ankle-biters. Total buzz kill.

Ordered a Whiskey Ginger at Maker's Mark Crossing, it had no whiskey in it, I watched her fill it with gingerale, and got screamed at when I told her there was no alcohol in the drink...great service

On the commuter trains, sit by the window of the three-seater. 2nd person sits by the aisle, leaving lots of room in between you both.

Only Amtrak Downeaster trains to New Hampshire and Maine arrive and depart from Boston North Station. All other Amtrak services in Boston depart from South Station and Back Bay Station.

If you're heading to South Station from here, exit train platform and thru waiting area to left, down a few stairs, outside and then head to T station to the right. Not the easiest trip.

Watch out. Apparently trains here are on time. If you're familiar at all with the MBTA system you never would have guessed there was an exception to the rule.

Catch an early train to north station if there's a game. The trains take longer to leave stops and you'll miss your commuter rail train.
