For those of you taking the Green Line : The headhouse closest to Tremont Street is for Green Line service to Lechmere. The one closest to the Common is for Outbound service. It'll save you time.

It does get very hot during the summer and cold during the winter. The artwork on the green line platform is nice but I wish the red line got one love too. - Penina Mezei

If you ever have a free day, spend it traveling along the MBTA counting how many crazy people you can find. It's easy at park street because their is always a crazy woman shaking a tin can outside

Always use the center platform for the Red Line. Ignore the minor convenience issues—the doors close last, so you catch more trains. Simple as that!

If you're looking for a seat on a Red Line train, wait on the center platform. The doors will open with a delay. While everyone else gets out on the other side, you get access to the seats!

During the winter, use the underground walkway that connects Downtown Crossing and Park Street for warm Orange / Blue Line connections.

The passageway to Downtown Crossing offers a convenient way to go directly from Green Line inbound to Orange Line outbound without the extra transfer on a train.

The busiest station in the MBTA. Read: crowded. In the mornings you have to fight through a mob to get up the stairs from the red line platform.

Use the underground walkway to Downtown Crossing if you're looking to either A) transfer to the Orange Line or B) stay a few seconds warmer in the winter.

No idea when a Green Line train to North Station is gonna come? Take the Winter Street concourse to Downtown Crossing and hop on an Orange Line train towards Oak Grove. They have ETA clocks there!

The yellow line alongside the tracks is for running, NOT strolling, or walking. You will get pushed, bumped hard or cursed out if you don't move out the way. :-/

When going outbound to alewife, stand on the platform to the right of the train - the doors open more quickly on that side so you're more likely to snag a seat!

Red line algorithm: head down to the center platform. If the train's not there, return upstairs & go to the outside platform. The benches are all on the outside platforms.
