This is probably the most positively endorsed place on foursquare (with regard to tips). People like it - and why not? It's a nice coffee shop/bookstore.
a lovely spot for a coffee and a think near the foursquare office. don't you just feel smarter inside a bookstore, or is that just me?
Winner of Best Bookstore (New) in the Village Voice 2011 Best Of issue! Use the Expresso Book Machine to self publish just about anything.
Simply, the nicest bookstore in the city, and the most well run magazine stand in the area.
We're still into books because of them. We go for the books and stay for the coffee.
the best bookstore. super helpful clerks. great cafe.
Their cafe serves stumptown coffee, go with a nice cappuccino and you won't be sorry.
have lemon verbena tea and free wifi
Their chocolate chip cookies are insane
Super friendly baristas in the back making delicious lattes. The bathrooms downstairs cost 25 cents to use, and smell like a homeless person. Saw Lena Dunham here once.
Hands down best curated selection of books downtown.
The milk at their coffee bar is cow to table in 36 hours. That's insanely fresh.
Don't miss the amazing array of letterpressed and hand-printed cards by the register. Rifle, Enormous Champion, Yellow Owl Workshop, Beau Ideal, & so many more!
Reading is cool!
Stumptown coffee is always welcome but you're missing out if you don't sample the always delicious cookies. Try the salted peanut butter, you'll thank me later.
My new favorite place. Stumptown coffee, wonderful selection of books, letterpress cards and very friendly/helpful staff. I'm in love.
No working wifi, but atmosphere makes it the perfect place to read or write without 'net distractions (as I check in on 4square)
OMNIFORMER'S FAVORITE BOOKSTORE $ CAFE!.. this place frees ideas better acid. But don't come here, its already too crowded.
Come here when you need to get someone a gift. Browse the new & noteworthy tables and take their recommendations!
Best export from Winnpeg since the Jets.
Dustin & Steve C are super knowledgeable
Great Americano. They use Stumptown!
Just met @garyvee here. Iced tea is awesome :-)
Support a local book seller and shop here! They have a load of books (obviously, make sure to make it downstairs), but also a great selection of mags and greeting cards for that last-minute purchase.
Super cute bookstore!
No WiFi :-(
Awesome bookstore.. staff are so friendly and helpful but who isn't in lovely new york!!! :)
great coffee & soho & a lot of great books. perfect.
The friendly cafe brews Stumptown, and uses a great soy milk.
Offers one of the most extensive collections of Spanish language books in Manhattan.
Great destination for an afternoon coffee run sans line! Be sure to ask for the soy if you so desire; they keep it behind the counter.
Great spot for getting work done. There's no free wifi so that takes away unnecessary distractions on one's laptop. The books in the store - well now that's another story completely!
The British guy who works here is so nice! He was super helpful
The best bookstore and magazine stand in New York (though for some reason they don't get newspapers). Come here and hang for hours.
Lovely place, good coffee but WiFi was not working and barista wouldn't help.
There's a sewing circle going in the basement. I love this bookstore!
The wifi password here is 'chapters'
One of the best bookstores in Manhattan. And they carry the Brooklyn Rail!
The yoghurt with granola is like eating sugar with a spoon. Not really recommended
Además de ser un espacio padrísimo, tienen una excelente selección de libros en español. Y buen café y pancito, que siempre se agradece.
