The staff is a bit aloof, but the store and inventory is first rate. Don't forget to check out their stationary store around the corner on Mulberry Street.
I've found lots of low priced gems in the discount section
They stock titles that aren't usually in regular bookstores, which is always great.
The design and cookbook section are right next to each other so needless to say I found pure bliss in a 10 square food section of the store. They have a little cafe too.
Have a quarter for the bathroom downstairs.
Super friendly staff and fun "espresso printing" machine at front.
My great love. If there is one place I could sit in forever in NYC, it is here.
Modern book palace.
Grab a book, staff will help you choose, and read on one of their fold down tables with a cannele and coffee. Cutest book-themed decor.
Nice place there's always the latest books that come out and also books that are classic and fun there's a little bit of everything what I like the most about it is that I can sit and get food
Lapsing souchong tea, coffee, books, cafe seating
Favorite bookstore in the entire city. So many amazing design books.
I love this bookstore. It has a ride variety of books and you never feel rushed. You can browse for hours and should you get thirsty you can always get a cup of coffee.
Superb curation of new and notable fiction. Download the Goodreads app so you can scan titles and add them to your list. Good place to visit when you feel your Kindle is just not tactile enough.
A bookstore with selections of almost all categories.
Best bookstore in Nolita
Café has no wifi, no power outlets – perfect for closing yourself off from the world and just getting things done
Great fold down reading tables in the cafe.
A beautiful bookshop/cafe with some great events in the evenings.
Psss if they're serving pie at the cafe, especially cobbler, don't pass on it. Ask them to warm it up for you.
Amazing bookstore. They don't have them like this anymore.
Two floors of books, fashion magazines, a Stumptown brew, and many author readings and signings.
One of favorite independent booksellers. But, they also have an incredible greeting card selection! Dock a Citi Bike nearby at Prince St and Mott St.
At the very least stop by for the coffee, they serve Sightglass out of San Francisco
They have a lot of really good but not mass marketed books here
Sightglass coffee served here
One of the few quiet coffee places on a weekday morning. Or maybe I just get lucky?
Indie bookstore with good coffee and Wi-Fi.
De todo! Hasta Kinfolk. Hermosa librería
They have really good books here. Te cafe is super cute too.
This is a truly wonderful bookshop.
Always something new to find
They brew Sightglass beans.
Wish there were more places like this on earth
Cute bookstore with a small cafe
One of my favorite bookstores in the city, please support an author by shopping here. And let's not let bookstores die.
A truly lovely bookstore. The selection is terrific, and so is the atmosphere. The bathroom is pretty neat, too -- it's coin-operated.
One of the best book store inthe city
The picante is mind blowing delicious and a steal at $9. Go all fat kid on the chorizo + cheese samples while you wait.
Amazing and bright bookstore. Good selection!
This place is awesome! Enjoy Four and Twenty Blackbirds pie without leaving Manhattan! And publish your own book with the espresso printer!
Best bookstore in New York. The cafe is a good place to get some reading and work done too!
Great curated staff selection. Awesome journals and stationary!
Great books store, especially for Designers.
High density of excellent books ranging from popular to esoteric. Great cookbook section and don't miss the print-your-own-book press next to the snack bar.
Though it appears small, they have a bigger selection than you would imagine.
Get their event calendar for exclusive book signings!
My favorite place in NY. Nicest people, amusing view, best books and awesome cafeteria (love the cappuccino, the bagles and the egg sandwich). Sorry no wifi.
Saw RL Stein doing a reading here once. Don't leave without checking out the stationary section.
