Mercat, Catalan Market Kitchen, is a restaurant dedicated to transporting the food of Barcelona's city markets to the NYC dining scene since 2007. We are also home to the FC Barcelona's Offical Clubhouse In New York City showing all FCB games live.
Really amazing tapas and Spanish wines. Must have the squid ink pasta, tuna tartare, cauliflower, asparagus.
Best wine and tapas in NYC, with a nice laid-back feel.
The Trencat d'Ous, Gambes, Bacalla and Remolatxa are my favorites [I'm a pescatarian!].
Order the Tuna tartar appetizer and skip the croquettes. Duck and steak entrees are great choices!
Excellent catalan tapas, great atmosphere, great staff. Great place to catch FC Barcelona games! Must try the croquetas!
Order the coliflor (cauliflower). Just do it. Amazing
Get the arroz del mar and patates braves. Robust regional flavors with a spicy surprise kick
Ask for Matt he's a good dude !!!!
This unassuming tapas bar is great for a date or special occasion. There are too many great dishes to name them all but patatas bravas, braised berkshire pork belly, and fideua negra are worth getting
Squid ink is yummy. Head chef is kind of a cutie and the mushroom with fried egg is delicious!
Eat your vegetables. Go for the cauliflower.
Pork belly, meat plate, spinach, potatoes bravas and margaritas better than most. But be prepared for terrible service. And don't forgo the chocolate souffle. Worth the wait.
Best tapas ive had in a while. Get the skirt steak!
Unassuming storefront opens up to a high ceiling space with an extensive selection of delicious tapas and an ever-changing list of specialty cocktails. It’s perfect to impress on a first date.
Great place for sharing. Come on Sunday or Monday night for FREE corkage BYOB. Can you say "sweeeeeeet"?
Cute bartender. Free top up. What more could you ask for?
Yummy cocktails! Loving my TBA: vodka, honey lemonade and ginger.... So refreshing! Comment on food later
Greasy. Cool venue but food makes your tummy hurt. Not a fan
Best Catalan tapas outside of BCN! Great wine choices as well.
The place is really expensive for tapas! If you want something as good check out Tapeo on Stanton. Saying that though the Patatas Bravas and the lentil Paella is incredible!
Impressive wine list here! For a food-friendly white at a great price, opt for Jesus Diaz's "El Blanco". Based on the malvar grape, it has a strong minerality, balanced by some honey notes. Salud!
Squid Ink pasta, and duck over cocoa bread. YUM!
Do not come here - mediocre food, mediocre service, expensive
I recommend the patatas bravas, brussels sprouts and chick peas. For dessert, the truffles are heavenly
