Great place to park and jog up and down the beach either direction on the trail. Jog north if you want to stop and do pullups/dips on the purple jungle gym along the trail ;). Dog friendly as well...
Walk out on the pier and enjoy awesome views of surfers from both sides :)
Check out Fisherman’s for post-beach-day food and drinks. The “Trestle” is the best drink to have on the patio while watching the sun set.

Check out the White Horses Restaurant on PCH 1. The Fillet Mignon is outstanding. Elegant with a beautiful salt water aquarium. The clam chowder at Fishermen's near the pier entry is to die for.
Go to the pier and enjoy the chowder & lobster while cheering for your favorite paddleboard contestants. It's a great way to spend time with friends on the beach.
So I said San Clemente is more than just a view, but take a few tacos down there (too bad we can't take beer) but hey, whose to know right?
Watch out for all the people tryn to fish for anthing that's biting
