Chopped liver is to die for 💀. Matzo ball soup is on point and the smoked meat burger is bangin. Seeee pic.

The poutine really is legendary. Thick, just right fries, delicious gravy, and big cheese curds if that's your thing. Have it with a Gose sour beer.

Out of chicken soup at 2 pm on Sunday is not a good thing. Very disappointing on a cold day. Smoked meat sandwich (Canadian version of pastrami) very good. Did I say they ran out of matzoh ball soup?

Poutine! So deliciously bad in the most refined way possible. Can't believe I just called gravy and curds refined, but that's what happened.

Did you order the smoked meat poutine? No?!?!! Flag down the waiter and add it to your order, or live with regret for the rest of your life.

Sure, get the sandwiches and smoked meat, everyone knows that, but just don't forget the poutine! And if you're lucky, maybe it's Poutine Week 😉 God bless, Poutine Week. Be prepared for a wait!

Wow! Best smoked meat (smoked brisket) sandwich I've ever had! Perfect smokiness with the kick of mustard. Brisket was tender and moist! Only wish was maybe toast the bread. 5/5

The Smoked Meat burger is topped with a fried egg, pickles, red onions, mustard-mayo, and American cheese on an onion roll. It's a giant mess, but the fallen-apart mess is still fun to eat. Read more

Absolutely amazing brunch. Everything here was delicious, the staff was kind, and was hooked up with free muffins and pickles!

I got a Reuben and shared a tasty chopped liver spread with my bf. The Reuben was corn beef and delicious, with a little bit of sweetness to it. Was craving more cheese cuz I like cheese!

Even though it's small and sometimes difficult to get a seat, the reward is totally worth it! Poutine week was a pretty amazing feat! Weekday lunch is a safer bet for seating than weekend.

Hit up Tuesday night for the smoked meat burger and poutine special. Hit up any other night to be equally happy and fulfilled. Brisket and corned beef are a knockout.

The Smoked meat sandwich is as pure of a love letter to Deli food as I've ever had. What they are able to do to beef is just breathtaking.

As someone who's lived in Montreal the past 5 years this was so disappointing. Everything - from the cheese curds to the smoked meat to the pickles - was extremely salty.

A small place that serves incredible food. And all the reviews are all true. We had the poutine. Delish. Smoked meat hash, very good. But the chopped liver - BEST.

This place is so authentically amazin. Ever felt the guilt of the famously un-Kosher combination of chicken salad and bacon? Here gribenes act in lieu of the pork and don't disappoint. So damn good..

The salad is great b/c it's not drowning in mayonnaise (a fate that often befalls whitefish salad). The bagels are "Montreal-style" which means slightly smaller (I don't mind) and less salty (I mind).

Look out Katz’s Deli, Mile End is making a name for itself in Brooklyn. Canadian chef-owner Noah Bernamoff’s place was instantly mobbed on account of the house made brisket served on rye.

The smoked meat is amazing. But everything here seems $1 or $2 too expensive. If you feel likewise, walk up Hoyt to Fast & Fresh Deli for a great, cheap Mexican torta. Or stay here and indulge!
