A Roman Catholic church located in the District of Quiapo, Manila, in the Philippines. The church is one of the most popular churches in the country. It is home to the Black Nazarene, a much venerated statue of Jesus Christ which many people believe has miraculous attributes.

    There is a passage beside the church that leads to the back part of the altar where the foot of the Black Nazarene is open for touching. Climb the stairs up if you want to touch the statue.

    Friday is Black Nazarene Day. The hourly mass starts at 4:00 am - 12:15 pm. Holy Hour is at 3:00 pm and the hourly mass resumes at 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The church closes at 12:00 am

    It could get really crowded during Special occasions. Also Watch out for thieves lurking about and place your belongings in front. But still keep in mind that your purpose is to pray.

    When going to Quiapo Church from Quezon City, it is best & more practical to take the LRT & alight at the Carriedo Station. From there it's just a 7 minute walk to the church. :)

    Expect heavy traffic during Fridays since every Friday is Quiapo day. Lots of cars, people and always stay alert of pick pockets and snatchers. Keep strong faith in God.
