Portions are huge and food is really tasty. I love chow mein. The waiting line can be overwhelming. It's a really popular spot

Hipster central. Get there before 7 and the line is reasonable. Kung Pow pastrami and Szechuan wings are great

Don't get takeout or delivery. It'll be way too greasy.

    Sarah · December 29, 2015

    Solid shareable Chinese dishes.

    Frances James · December 12, 2015

The food is rich, order less than you think you'll need. I wasn't a fan of salt cod rice. Loved the pork focused dishes though.

    Cameron Maddux · December 8, 2015
  • Zi W.

Holy **** this place is worth all the hype. We only had the Kung Pao Pastrami but it was straight up heaven.

Kung pao pastrami seems like a really weird idea until you take your first bite, and then it suddenly seems so obvious you'll wonder why nobody else is doing it

    Laurence Berland · October 11, 2015

    Bacon. Weird salad thing

  • Mike C.

This is the grossest place I've ever been to and in the scariest location I've ever seen. As soon as I stepped off the 33 bus, I just wanted to get back on and leave the area.

Kung Pao Pastrami + Chicken Wings \m/

    Berk Çebi · September 6, 2015
  • Jiexi C.

Their selling point is being tacky. Food is solid, but that atmosphere is not so appetizing... Would probably order take out from now on

    Jiexi Cao · August 29, 2015
  • Hei-Yu T.

Stunning creative Chinese fusion food. Crispy pork ribs with coca cola sauce and the pork belly is freakin' awesome! Worth waiting a bit. Worst interior ever - in a awesome way.

    Hei-Yu Tang · August 27, 2015
  • Raj S.

Hate to say it but really worth the hype. And a fun atmosphere and vibe to boot.

    Raj S. · August 13, 2015
  • Vivian W.

Very very tasty. The salt cod fried rice is a must get. And their West Lake porridge is perfect for a sick day

I was very drunk here but I said, "This is the best Chinese food of my life," at least 10 times. Hard to have a bad choice here, but Ma Po Tofu with pork stands out for me

    Kevin Ripper · May 20, 2015
  • The Mini John

I don't remember half of the names of our food but I remember that it was delicious as fck!!!! We had to close a table in advance because the place is almost always filled up.

    The Mini John · May 19, 2015
  • Anthony B.

Servings are huge, mapo tofu and the bacon noodle dish are quite spicy. Rice is $1 extra but they brought out enough to feed the four of us. Waitress was cute.

    Anthony Basilio · May 10, 2015
  • Jackie W.

They put the Má in Má Pó Tofu.

    Jackie Westside · May 4, 2015
  • Lauren M.

Not just overrated, but downright bland. The fried rice fish dish everyone raves about is basically a huge plate of flavorless carbs. So overpriced, little flavor.

    Lauren Mac · April 30, 2015
  • Bourbon🍸Explorer

    Decent but overpriced and overhyped.

    Bourbon🍸Explorer · April 26, 2015

Mapo tofu with mushrooms is a genius invention. Must have!

    Pei 👻 Wen · April 26, 2015
  • Rem K.

Everything! But the chicken heart and peanut salad is especially tasty. Order in to avoid long lines.

    Rem Koning · April 23, 2015
  • Rebecca W.

Everything is good. Squid ink noodles delicious. Tiki pork belly crisped outside tender inside to perfection. Tea-smoked eel mix of textures amazing.

    Rebecca Wang · April 21, 2015
  • Alex Y.

Good food but really salty. Great service

    Alex Yee · April 8, 2015
  • Kim P.

Worth the hype to try at least once! Must order: the salted cod fried rice and pork belly. Skip: the eel rolls.

    Kim Pham · April 5, 2015
  • Yusun C.

I liked it but I don't think it's worth the wait. It's overpriced hip modern Chinese food. I would only go if it's late enough to avoid waiting.
