The world-class Aquarium is on historic Cannery Row in Monterey and open daily except Christmas. Hours at www.montereybayaquarium.org or (831) 648-4888.
Surprisingly very unique settings like the jellyfish, and a giant school of fish.
Big and beautiful. Honestly compared to ones in Japan, little less impressed.
we really wanted to visit Monterey bay aquarium but didn't have time to spend more than two hours... way to expensive though (40$)
Sea otters are the best!
Here for TED Fellow Dinner, amazing place to have dinner here
All the sea🌊 creatures
Buy your tickets online. You can skip the line and walk right in. Feeding starts at 10:30, so don't spend your time waiting to get inside. http://www.montereybayaquarium.org/
Awesome exhibits and really attentive staff. Highly recommend going to the feeding events (especially otters and penguins). Very educational
One cannot just do a quick tour... $40 admission, even just to the gift shop!
Don't miss the sea otters getting fed!
Spend a minute talking to the staff and learn something new about the bay.
Very nice aquarium. Lots of great exhibits including the new open sea section. Also, there are interesting shows in the auditorium. Lines outside are really long, and maybe ease up a bit after 2pm.
Loved it, though I wish they had more sea mammals like sea lions.
Amazing underwater views!
I love aquariums and this is the best one I've been to!
One of the best and interesting acquariums around. The staff is ready to educate, and really appreciated the conservation component of this special place.
Great views and just an awesome aquarium
Go see the deep sea presentation in the auditorium!
Octopus is the highlight.
Huuuuge Aquarium! So much fun for the family 👍🏼
There are so many cool things you see here. The place is awesome. So many fascinating animals like sea otters and penguins.
While the otters are fun and the jellyfish are beautiful - the true magic of this place is the octopus! So worth waiting for it to dance.
Packed on July 4th!
The God-damn pharaoh cuttlefish, c'mon!
Really nice aquarium with excellent learning.
If you come early, there's free, unlimited parking on Ocean View Blvd., west of the Aquarium after some metered spots
street parking was a hassle... i almost drove back to uber it. all the way at the end by the mexican restaurant they have 4hr metered parking. be sure to use your student id for a discount
Lots to love: an octopus, jellyfish exhibits, kelp forest feeding, the tour, and an awesome view of the bay.
C'mon, it's the best aquarium in the States. Be sure to check out the jellies.
Was a shooting location for Star Trek IV, the Voyage Home. Was referred to as the fictional "Cetacean Institute". No humpback whales were actually here, just special effects.
The sea otters are adorable.
Awesome aquarium, great for family and kids. Gets crowded and claustrophobic during spring break.
Bery well designed and interactive
Everything is so well put up and together. Love the Tentacle exhibit and Jellyfish one too!!
Nearby parking is 15$ before 4pm and 5$ after, thought the aquarium closes at 5pm
Membership is the way to go- speeds up entrance, information on programs, discounts.
Take a look at the jellyfishes and all of their beauty!
Very expensive entry fee, $40, and the place is very much aimed at kids. Though the jellyfish exhibition is worth the $40 in itself, not the "jellyfish experience" but the low lit exhibition
Best aquarium I've visited with sheer variety, creativity and originality..
Amazing aquarium and great for kids but very expensive ($40 for adults).
amazing place♡ my fav. part is the otter feeding show! kelp forest n jellyfish :)
If you don't like crowds, don't come here. If you want to make eye contact with a tuna that is larger than you, come here.
Beautiful jelly fish and generally really well laid out aquarium. Just felt a bit sad about the small penguin enclosure.
Check out the noses of the sharks and rays. What happened to them?
Don't forget to check out the octopus & seahorses
You have to see the octopus
