Appetite can't keep up with all of the great choices
#omakase #chef sushi selection @ice cream
You wouldn't expect it, but Morimoto has a happy hour in the upstairs lounge from 5-7pm with drink & food specials mostly under $10.
Everything was amazing here, especially the duck and the yellow tail tuna. If you go here ask for Raymond. He was amazing!
Everything here is delicious. Server seemed kind of pushy.
The service is impeccable and the spicy king crab is like nothing I've ever tasted #delectable
Modernist Iron Chef wizardry may dazzle the tourists, but it's the straight-up sushi and sashimi that really steals the show. Scallop, amberjack and fresh water eel are the must-haves.
Excellent sushi in downtown Philadelphia - owned by the same guy who opened Wasabi in Delhi
Get the Omakase!! Totally worth every penny!
Get the omakase. It's worth it.
$10 Micro-batch ice cream of the day, available to go.
Duck duck duck: hands down one of the best dishes I have ever eaten.
Honestly, it was overpriced and mediocre.
With Stephen Starr and Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto at the lead, Morimoto's original Philadelphia location is the perfect place to start a night in Center City.
Excellent fresh "mix"
try their omakase
Delicious especially the tempura shrimp
💲💲💲pricey pricey pricey ... 8 drinks, fours appetizers, tax and tip $286
great affordable, quick lunch. get the sushi combination (and carpaccio)
Great place for lunch!
The 10 hour pork belly is absolutely incredible, as is the yuzu meringue tart. Yuzu meringue is a oerfectly light and citrus-y dessert for a hot, muggy day.
Score the Iron Chef’s freshest catches at the back-of-the-house sushi bar.
Hands down the greatest sushi place in Philly. Awesome food, amazing decor, great service, well worth the price.
Definitely try Karai if you are in a mood of something sweet and spicy
Tuna pizza was amazing! My husband had the steak and it had to be the best steak I've ever tasted!
New fall cocktail menu launching today including this Kobacha cocktail: roasted kabocha infused bourbon, angostura bitters, ginger beer lime, garnished with bourbon roasted kabocha & bamboo leaf
Exquisite sushi. We split the chef's combination and wasabi fried rice. Everything was very fresh and high quality. Swanky atmosphere, too!
5 star worthy all around- the decor, food, and service were amazing!
Doing go here for the ramen. You'll buy disappointment. On the bright side, they have tasty main entrees, drinks, and a robust sake selection.
Try the Kakuni (10 Hour Braised Pork Belly) - #tasty
If you don't do the omakase, you're silly.
Tuna pizza and lobster ceviche! Do it.
The $80 Omakase is a ripoff as the dishes are uneven at best. Sushi rice was dry, sushi was OK at best. Disappointing.
They have these weird lamps planted in the middle of the tables ...
Yes... it's all that. Well reviewed by foodies... and now I know why.
At the far end of Iron Chef Morimoto's sushi stronghold is a sushi bar where you can watch the culinary wizards make rolls and maki.
One of the great places in Philadelphia for pristine raw fish and clever composed dishes. Hope to God that the foie gras chawan mushi, maguro niçoise, and ten-hour pork "kakuni" make an appearance.
The Iron Chef! Sushi, sushi, sushi. Creme brule was good.
If you're not up for the $80+ omakase, try one of the chef's sushi platters; they start at $30.
Rock shrimp tempura is orgasmic... Blends in with the phallic lights ;-)
Just go and experience Morimoto!
This place is awesome. Any appetizer is delicious. Rock shrimp, duck duck duck, Kobe filet, all great entrees. The asparagus side is also delicious.
Ask the chef for a Tuna Roll with Salmon on top! Perfect!
You can't beat sitting at the sushi bar here. Love to watch them create edible works of art.
Try the Rock Shrimp Tempura appetizer. Slightly sweet, with a great texture.
