I took the recommendation for Salmon Hash and it did not disappoint! Combine with the French press coffee and you're set. If you come alone or group of two sit at the bar. First come first served.

Jason is an amazing server. Very passionate about his job, especially since he's been working here for over 12 years! Definitely get the salmon hash and the frittatas! Oh, and the Bloody Marie's...

It's all about the love! Get cozy under a chandelier and try the biscuit breakfast, super crunchy French toast, and drink a Bloody Mary. The Salmon Hash is quite popular too!

Wild salmon hash is delicious. Also it's large enough that you can have it for brunch and be satisfied the whole afternoon. Two-person coffee press is a great deal for $8 (32 oz of gourmet coffee).

Ordering coffee is a delicate and thorough interview process. Mother is theatrical and delicious, and our waiter Jason should replace Fred Armisen on Portlandia.

This is the premier downtown breakfast spot that I recommend to all visitors. Friendly, farm-to-table and locally sourced ingredients. Stumptown french press coffee fresh to your table-perfection!

Prosciutto and Swiss cheese omelette was incredibly good. The red roasted potatoes were perfectly cooked and you can't go wrong with unlimited coffee. If you're in Portland, it's a must go.

Crunchy French toast wasn't quite as amazing as all the hype, but the scramble and coffee were top notch. Worth the hour wait - put your name on the list, and take a walk.

Comfort music for comfort food. Most of staff are pretty attentive with things such as refilling your coffee without even you asking. Recommending the sausage platter, it's the best!

Such a great place. The decor is super cute. The food is amazing! I had the Meatloaf but I tried my sister's pot roast! So good. AND 'Mother' walks around and talks to everyone too!

Large enough portions that two people could share one of their scrambles. The potatoes were soooo good.

Biscuits & Gravy is a good bet on the restaurant. In the bar let the bartender choose for you. You won't regret it.

In the heart of downtown, Mother’s takes the heart of home-cooking—think roasts and biscuits and gravy—and gives it a touch of refinement.
