Gumbo, jambalaya and bread pudding - all winners. If I had to pick one? I'd be grumpy about having to choose but would maybe go with the jambalaya.

Don't fret, the line moves super fast. Grab a menu and be ready to order when you get to the counter.

Ferdis po boy is a must try
  • Abel D.
I'd eat everyday the Ferdi poboy. I mean it. It is delicious.
  • Sobitart P.
Staff was great but the taste for me... was just basic. None of the locals recommend this place. A lady at the airport mentioned it to us, again staff was great but taste was bland and basic.
  • Marie L.
Gotta get the Ferdi special with debris. Nothing like it.
  • Vincent S.
Even when line is around the block, wait is less than 15 minutes to be served. The calamari po boy is the best I've ever had. Staff constantly participating in your quick stay without rushing you out

The signature poboy is good, but not my cup of tea. However the jambalaya and crawfish etouffé were absolutely fantastic.
  • Coletta R.
Absolutely the best!! The food and the staff are totally awesome. We ate here twice during out stay in New Orleans. A must try, you won't be disappointed, the line is long but it goes very fast.
  • Brian K.
Nothing! The fucking sheriff hostess wannabe ruins and food you might want when he orders you around.
  • Chauga T.
I always get the beans and rice! Breakfast is as good as it gets.
  • Hayley S.
Really disappointed after being recommended Mother's Restaurant by a local. Staff were rude and the food was not up to the New Orleans standard.
  • Camille B.
My local friends say not to come here. "It's not that good, there are better options."

    Ferdie sandwich
  • Karen-Bob F.
Over priced, the house po boy was ruined by too much mustard. The ham is supposed to be the best but it had such a scanty piece , couldn't taste it. More of a cattle market than a restaurant .
  • Moe D.
    Long lines mean good food.

Fantastic shrimp and oyster Po Boy!

Our waitress was more interested in her phone than service for our table.

The equivalent of Katz's Deli but with southern food and in New Orleans. Fun to try once. Try the Ferdi and the gumbo.

This was the best jambalaya I think I've had. Not dry, flavorful... Loved it!! Fast - don't be scared by the lunch line.
