The service is amazing and the food is delicious! !
tandoori chicken is AMAZING! !
Veg dishes taste the same everywhere but not here. Go for Paneer Lababdar - amazingly unique and great taste!
Butter chicken. Daal Makhani. This place is really butter central. Bonus: lamb in spinach is shockingly awesome. A must go.
Appetizer arrived cold and entrée tasted of gas (no tandoor). Do yourself a favor and dine at a cheaper Indian restaurant for similar quality.
Amazing Paneer dishes. Also the Daal Makhni is out of this world! The butter naan was very well made!
Basically nothing. The place looks nice, sure. But the food, portion sizes, everything was total 💩 Never going back to this garbage pile.
Incredible lunch buffet!
Lunch is a pretty good. They have two options to choose from, veg and non veg. It's a three course meal with a lot of food.
Lunch special was excellent. Weird that they don't let you take leftovers home.
The Butter Chicken is not only probably the best in NYC, it is possibly the best on the planet.
Golgoppa shots are a unique experience. They can't be split - you have 4 whole mouth bites, so make sure you are ready for that.
Lamb chops are divine
One of the better Indian restaurants in Manhattan, though the location is a bit out of the way.
Great deal of veggie options, just enough spices and reasonable prices. We shared the mushrooms kebab and I got the Palak Paneer : very good although portions end up to be bit too much for me
Lunch was good and large portions but it was odd that we could not take the leftovers with us. Either they were going to throw away a lot of food or were going to re-serve to someone else.
Flavorful, authentic Indian with authentic dishes. Complex flavored vs. the norm where everything tastes the same
Butter chicken, spicy lentils, garlic naan. Bing, bang, boom.
Really good Roomali Khasta and Daal Makhani. Khadhi Murgh could've been better. Solid wine pours.
On Sundays a very reasonable and tasty brunch "seated buffet" awaits anyone who can handle the surliness here.
If you're looking for North Indian food and a fancy setting (especially if you're not Indian), this is the place. Best Indian restaurant in town hands down.
Chicken kadhai. Daal makhni.
Vegetarian paradise. Amazing indian and great ambiance at a reasonable price. Yum!!
Food was solid, but not as spicy as I would have liked (even when ordered "hot")
They give you so much food for lunch and you cant take any home. Come hungry (like "I could eat a horse" hungry) - especially if you're 2 people since they give food for 5.
staff was super nice to us and our 14-month old son. brought him a mango lassi and a bunch of baby-friendly things to eat; we were pleasantly surprised when they weren't on our bill.
The best Indian food in US I have eaten! Dal Makhani compares to the best of Old Delhi. Paneer Lababdar is delicious and so is Khasta Roll. Do talk with Chef Kishore. He is as warm a host as they come
Wow. Very easily some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Get the butter chicken, chana masala, lemon rice, and plenty of samosas.
Unreasonably prices mediocre food.
An international chain specializing in Mughlai, an exceptionally rich and varied branch of Indian cooking. Very vegetarian-friendly.
You're in for a treat with the lunch special. $14 to eat like a king. 2 apps, 1 entree, 1 dessert. Refills. Can't go wrong.
Great food, excellent waiter! He offered us a little desser, so nice. I definitively recommend this place
The updated Mughlai dishes here still bring plenty of heat to the table! Stockpile napkins and dig in to the tandoori chicken and lamb kebabs. The lunch buffet is also a neighborhood deal at $11.95
Nice atmosphere. Great murgh korma chicken, pretty good wine selection.
The burrah kebab are truly exceptional, and standards like butter chicken are well-executed.
The lamb kebabs are exceptional, as is the thickly seasoned tandoori chicken. Veggies can head to a steaming lunch buffet with vegetarian options as well!
It can easily beat the "T" and "J" places. Real chicken tandoori without coloring. Their phirni (crushed rice pudding) is a must try. We also had the chicken with yogurt/cashewnut gravy- crazy good
Try the ras malai. I rarely have it in the USA, but it's really good here.
No a la carte menu for lunch. There are only two options: veg or non-veg sit down buffet.
Get the daal!
Phenomenal food: paneer tikka, dahi palak, murgh tandoori, burrah kebab (best thing on the menu), murgh and dal makhani - and, of course, gulab jamun
No, this is not the real deal. Desis will know Moti Mahal for succulent, flavorful and excellent food. This is none of that. Does not live up to the namesake in India. Average fare.
The place is among the best places for Indian Food around, has good interior design, excellant service and delicious food!
The Butter Chicken and Anardani Tikka are a must-try!!
Diwali is around the corner! Come by between Nov 4- Nov 18 and check out our special Diwali menu during dinner (prix-fix with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options).
Really great flavorful indian food. Not the biggest portions so get a couple sppetizers.
There isn’t enough Indian-brewed beer to help you pronounce the murgh makhani (fork-tender chicken in a silky tomato sauce) at Moti Mahal Delux, but try your best and you’ll be rewarded.
So so delicious and filling! Come with an empty stomach and you won't be disappointed. Will be back again soon :)
