If you don't normally have access to this kind of food or family feasts where you're from, it's worth the wait. If you *do*, it isn't. The red rice was the best part and the chicken was awesome too.

We went on a weekday when it opens at 11am. We arrives at 11:15 and the wait was one hour. Folks in line said first seating requires being in line at 9:30. The food is good, experience is incredible.

Some of the finest soul food in Savannah. The banana pudding is a must. Don't forget to pick up a copy of the cookbook on your way out so you can (try to) replicate some of the dishes at home.

DAT... FRIED... CHICKEN. If you're not here at least 1 hour before it opens, prepare to wait in line at least 1.5 to 2 hours. Communal tables means great conversations with locals and strangers alike!

No matter you get there, be prepared to wait in line. Plenty of on street parking but make sure you have coins for the parking meters - 30 minutes for a $.25. Count on 1.5-2 hours to avoid tickets.
