It’s like a tiny Japanese IKEA!

What's not to like here: quality minimalistic design at reasonable price points across categories. Particularly fond of the kitchenware and stationery.

Aluminum hangers are slim, but sturdy. Great alternative to wooden hangers if you need space. Downside: they're slippery.

Be aware of their crappy return policy. The staff doesn't verbally explain it to you. There is only a tiny, tiny placard at the cash register.

As tempting as it is to furnish your entire home with MUJI goods, there's a hefty markup over the Japanese prices. Buy a few items but head across the street to Bed Bath & Beyond for the essentials.

If you didn't take a shower that day, just hover over the essential oil misting machine. Now your scent is "Ocean."

They now have the Muji food items from Japan! The pasta sauces are great -- they have cod roe and squid ink, among others!

Not a convenient location (would be better if they opened this next to Uniqlo or in Japantown) but this store is cheaper than Muji in Asia!! OMG can't believe I didn't know this was here before!!!

As ever a great selection of understated, high quality odds and ends. They're not cheap and god knows why they put it in the middle of nowhere. Be careful of the clothes.

MUJI wants to help you keep your dimes (paper bag fee reference), so it's giving away a nifty reusable bag to the first 1,000 customers. There will also be some sort of MUJI gift inside each bag.
