People tend to check in during these times:
When Munch died in January 1944, it transpired that he had unconditionally bequeathed all his remaining works to the City of Oslo. The Munch Museum opened in 1963 and was purpose-built to house this unique collection of approximately 1100 paintings, 4500 drawings and 18 000 prints.
Now I know a lot more about Munch beyond his infamous The Scream pieces. We visited during the Munch vis-a-vis Van Gough exhibit, which was an interesting way to learn about artists' work
Good free wifi!
The Van Gogh & Munch exhibition is totally worth seeing, go and check it out
The Munch/Van Gogh exhibition is sick. Also probs one of the best gift shops I've seen at a gallery.
Small but well designed. The comparison between Munch And Van Gogh is amazing ... Unfortunately no pics inside 😱
The Munch/Van Gogh exhibit is great.
This is not a permanent exhibition, it changes like every 3-4 months. The idea is good, but not all the expositions are worth seeing (like the Melgaard+Munch)
A much smaller museum than I had expected. Viewed the works at a leisurely pace and still finished in less than an hour
Munch is one of my favorite artists, I always enjoy visiting this place. Don't skip it just because the scream isn't here, his other work is definitely worth it too.
This is not worth your time - unless you've just swum at Toyenbade. Go see the Munch room at the National Gallery.
Bad space. Small collection.
Tudo espetacular! A obra O grito é especialmente tocante
Exhibition changes several times a year. The Scream is of course the main piece. Interesting works but small museum though. You can enjoy the botanical garden after your visit.
nice but small gallery. They have changing exhibitions all related to Munch
The 1910 tempera on board painted version of the Scream is on display here! It was was stolen in 2004, but later recovered.
Muhakkak gezilmesi gereken yerlerden biri, Munch'un erken donem calismalari buradadir. Meshur ciglik ve madonna tablolari icin nationalgalleriet gezilmelidir! 5-6 yil sonra operaya komsu olacaktir
They juist got now a small room with few pictures in national gallery u can see the scream and more. so dont go there.
Awesome exhibition Everyone must see!
Awesome. You can see two versions of 'Scream' here. The others should be in the National Gallery.
scary images :-O
Veldig dyrt i kafeen
Free wifi and a nice picture hunt for the kids
All about Edvard Munch!
One of the best in Oslo...It should be on your must do list. Scream wasn't there in April 2013.
Scream is not here but in the national galery. Start the visit with the film. have with you 10 Kr for the clockroom,if not the receptionist borrows you!small but great museum.entry fee 85 kr
We were looking for The Scream but it was not there... Actually it's located in the National Gallery but it's not written anywhere. We were very disappointed :(
The scream is NOT here! :/ very disapponted.
Wonderful, this museum is a must. The gift shop is above average, some very nice things to see and buy there.
Munch's most famous painting, "Scream", is being shown at the National Gallery http://www.nasjonalmuseet.no/?module=Articles;action=Article.publicShow;ID=606
Nice! Free wi-fi. Expensive But okay sandwiches. 98 NKT
Make your own wood rubbing right before the exit.
Watch the 3 films on the life of Munch prior to seeing the exhibit (s).
Ottimo!
Free wifi on network MAG. And a web-based guide (including audio) at http://10.0.1.101.
