    Plan on spending more than one day at the Louvre if you want to attempt to see everything, Also, there's more than one line for entering the Louvre—the one at the Carrousel is much shorter! Read more

    You can find pieces of takhte-jamshid and historical Persian monuments in the middle east section of the museum. A shame we don't have these in Iran.

    Two tips to go: (1) Use the self service machines and skip the lines (2) Buy a translation service kit unless you an read French, as all text in the museum is in French (what I have seen so far)

    Get tickets online to avoid the long queues. Lots of great exhibitions so head on over earlier so you can cover experience more.

    Take the Lyon's gate on the right side of the building, even in August there is no queue. Inside take your time, you need 6-7 hours for a decent visit

    Buy a Musuem Pass before you get here and zoom past the line.

    Learn from my mistake. Get a map the day before - plan out a route and what you want to see, and do that. We just wandered around, got lost like 5 times, then ended up bailing after an hour.

    No visit to Paris is complete without visiting the Louvre. Arrive before opening hours to avoid waiting in queue. Plan ahead which sections you want to visit.

    Visit the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Cupid & The Winged Victory. HAVE A "PLAN OF ATTACK" before you visit, tho. Do not just walk in and start to wander bc you will get lost for HOURS!

    if you are going to buy the ticket only for the audioguide, you can do that using the automatic machine "hidden" in the segund floor. save your time from waiting in the queue!

    Good mother of god. Avoid tourist season at all costs. Highly recommend buying the Paris pass- admission to all museums, and you get to skip the wait in line.

    Try this and be amazed. Position yourself to the right of the Mona Lisa and notice which way she is facing. Then walk over to the very left and look again at which way she is facing. Amazing!
