Excellent collection of modern art housed in a architecturally significant building. Picasso, Miro and Dali are featured. If you go early on a weekend, you will have the place to yourself.
  • Matt H.
Great and manageable selection of modern & modernist art classics. Crowned with Guernica, the selection of weeping women & sketches by Picasso, along with 3 dancing women, are astounding.

This museum has such a diverse selection of art pieces and exhibitions. It's difficult not to get lost in the halls and easily lose track of your day here. Check out the beautiful terrace!

Take time to read why Guernica was created (as part of the Spanish Republic's exhibit at the 1937 World's Fair, in Paris) - then look around nearby rooms to see & understand what else was shown there.

A treasure chest of Picasso and Dali paintings, including Guernica. The newly renovated and expanded architecture is an interesting old palace meets industrial vibe.

Huge museum, but if you are a moderate fan of modern art and only want to see "the classics", come after 7pm (free entrance) and go directly to 2nd floor, skipping all the rest.

This is one of the best galleries I have ever been too. We were lucky enough to visit when there was a Picasso exhibition. The contemporary art collection is particularly excellent.

There are two ticket offices. The one on the side with the new extension is empty and very fast if you're not looking to see Dali. Dali tickets are for entry at certain times also.

Come here to see the beautiful Guernica by Picasso, but don't plan on taking a picture of it because you can't do that here either. Only pictures of the art no one remembers is allowed.
