Buy a ticket online to avoid a huge waiting line. Plan your visit ahead, it's rather impossible to see everything in one go.

Prado Museum is a place you should definitely see before leaving Madrid. After 17h has free entrance. Prepare for long aisles! (It's better to arrive before 17h to assure a better place on it).

A museum with amazing masterpieces. The lighting needs work, as some paintings needed constant shifting around in order to see them in all their glory.

Excellent works of art. It needs improvement at planning the visit around. It is very confusing with all those thousand rooms.

It really needs time to see all the paintings. So l recommend you to choose the ones you would like to see if you have limited time. Ruben was amazing, so do the Velazques and the Goya.

For free entrance go there at 5.30 not to spend 30 min of your 2 free hours in a line. Even if the line seems huge, it's only 15-20 min waiting
  • Hannah T.
Incredible. You can go at the free hours, but go at least a half an hour before because the line grows QUICKLY

Absolutely a must visit place in Madrid. The museum is not so large to leave you tired and no so small to make you dissatisfied. Royal collection of European art, as well as Velazquez, Goya, El Greco.

Grab the museum map/brochure and go on a scavenger hunt for the Masterpieces. However the lighting is not the best, bad reflections on a lot of the paintings.
