After El Prado, this is the best art museum in Madrid. Great collection of masters from medieval to 20th Century. Perfect to have a comprehensive vision of the history of art.
This has to be one of the best private collections of art in the world. Collection starts with ancient Italian art and ends with Pop art. Start on the top floor and work your way down

Really nice museum. Two floors with lots of religious art and paintings and ground floor with some of the best modern and contemporary art.
I think this museum is underrated. Definitely it's better than the Prado.
Very good but not the best in Europe.
A stunning art collection - a real "must see" in Madrid. And the vegetable ratatouille is excellent!
If you like Impressionism as much as I do, it's even better than Prado Museum.
The temporary exposition about Pop Art is great. Very comprehensive audio guide.

If you only have time for one museum in Madrid, make that Thyssen. An immaculate collection in a salmon-pink palace.
Must see when in Madrid for sure! Amazing and very diverse collection. Now Edward Hopper exhibition is on show which is pretty remarkable! And vegetable ratatouille at their restaurant on the roof ;)
From Van Eyck to Picasso, the museum offers a full ride through the history of Western Art. On a visit and a half hour one can understand the evolution of painting by the great masters.
One of the best museums in the world. A range of famous paintings covering a wide range of periods. A must see on a visit to Madrid. Spend some time wandering the streets. Stop and have some tapas!
