On a sunny day the view from the cafe is great. On a rainy day, not so much. There's free entry (unless you want to see their collection on the 3rd floor). Good to while away some time on a rainy day

This is my mandatory stop while in Sydney. It's beautiful, it's always interesting, it's free and the roof top coffee shop has excellent food and amazing views

Not the strongest of contemporary arts museum but nonetheless it is worthwhile to take a look if you find yourself having some time in your hands in the rocks area. Free access.

We love Sydney's MCA. It's seen some truly wonderful artists, including some of our favourites, like Annie Leibovitz and Olafur Eliasson. Make it into a day, and explore The Rocks right behind.

If you're at circular quay, drop by at the museum and check it out! It's free. And the art is interesting. I just wished there were people to explain the art for a more hands on experience.

Visiting shows are the draw, but the permanent collection is worthy of your time. Rebecca Baumann's automated colour field is really fun
