The Museum of Nature & Science is the result of a 2006 merging, unlike any in the nation, of three cultural institutions–the Dallas Museum of Natural History, The Science Place and the Dallas Children’s Museum.
In 2006, the Dallas Museum of Natural History and The Science Place merged into one institution. The planetarium produces programs exploring the far reaches of space.
You definitely need to play with the bubble tables!
Little ones up to age seven have a space of their own in the MNS Children’s Museum, including a “town” with six play sets for imaginative minds. Powered by ParentsConnect.com
My favorite museum in Dallas - definitely check out all of the exhibits, planetarium and IMAX.
The people that work here are fantastic. They take time to explain everything to you and have a great attitude. Great place to take the kiddos.
The benefits od being a member are worth it....especially if you have children.
Balanced for 40 seconds... Beat that.
Now thru aug 28 2011, there is a lego exhibit, pretty neat, they also hv some play tables w/lots of legos to build! Plan for extra time in this part.
Bigger bathrooms with changing tables upstairs. Tiny bathrooms downstairs by the childrens' area makes changing diapers a pain.
This is a great museum for families! The iMax theater is also really nice, but my personal favorite is the hands-on exhibits upstairs.
Closed! Moved to Perot Museum!
Worst science museum I have been to. Quite boring
Museum offers great Boy Scout Merit Badge classes such as Archaeology and Engineering
If you are going for B of A member weekend, only the cardholder gets in. Be prepared to pay for additional guests.
Right now there's a shark exhibit on in the large exhibit hall and at certain times of the day you can view a shark dissection. Its really a well thought out exhibit.
If you're a Bank of America card holder, you get into the Exhibit free!
Really not worth the money. The science center is nice but the children' museum is a disappointment.
Get in FREE the first weekend of every month after flashing your Bank of America card.
Science is the poetry of reality.
Don't expect too much from the cafe. They only have hot dogs, nachos, salads, and sliced bread sandwiches. Pretty disappointing. :-(
