Our two locations hold the largest collection of historic air & space objects in the world. In DC, see the original Wright 1903 Flyer, Apollo 11 Command Module "Columbia," and touch a Moon rock. Check out our Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA, home to the Space Shuttle Discovery.
World War I exhibit.
The DOME ! Don't miss the show in the DOME !!
Well worth a visit to inspire interest in young inquiring minds about flight and space
I still can't believe that I saw a space shuttle from that close.
Keep an entire day just for this museum.
It's always a shame when museums that appeal to and educate kids have such terrible, unhealthy food choices!
To bad you have to pay for the simulator
Take the chance to visit this places. It's better if u arrive early because it's huge and has a lot of pavilions for visiting.
So interesting. Great to visit with children but from ages 8+
The world's best ! Keep up the great job ! Fly high !
Be prepared for an airport-style scan of you and purses and backpacks and allow extra time. Hang a right at the info desk on the main floor for rest rooms and baby changing area.
AMAZING PLACE! Fun for all ages!
Such an amazing place with free admission! I would definitely gonna check out the rides there.
Always a good time, but always crowded.
If you have limited time in DC, this is a stop you should make.
touch the moon! see things that really went in to space
Best museum ever! Many interactive installations. And Moon Rock!
Even though it costs money, the planetarium is definitely worth it
My favorite exhibit is always anything space related. It's incredible that humanity has achieved that level of exploration. Here's hoping for the future!
Amazing experience, from air balloon to space shuttles. A must
So many historic aircraft in one place - just amazing. A real celebration of human endeavours.
Really cool museum, I think we all gravitated towards the space stuff, no pun. Would've paid to see this but glad all museums are free in DC.
Fantastic museum relating to air travel and space exploration. Very scientific and incredibly informative! A DC must!
Get an astronaut pen from the gift shop
For those who loves airplanes
Join one of the free tours, they're frequent and totally worth it, guides very knowledgable too.
So many Asians with iPads! 😉
You have to try the air-combat simulator, it goes 360 degrees!
All about the plane
Great aircraft on display
If you love planes and outer space this is the place for you...!!!
The planetarium is awesome!
A must visit if you go to the Mall.
Look for the interactive stations and exhibits - some great opportunities to learn about space travel
It's amazing. Must see
Totally love it! The museum is stunning, everything is organized in a fun way. A great place to learn and have fun.
Come early and go to the Virginia site.
Gotta check out the space shuttles. Discovery is huge!!
Get a tour with Robin Erskine. You could fill an entire series of encyclopedias with the stuff he knows. Best tour I've ever had!
Is the best museum in DC
If you only have time to do one Museum, this is the one to go to. If you have time the one at Dulles is even better!
It's free and a lovely experience for kids
It's the most popular museum in DC, second most popular in the world (after the Louvre). Definitely go on off hours.
