National Monument (Tugu Negara) was erected in honor of the the fallen heroes of the 1st and 2nd World Wars, as well as the Malayan Emergency from the years 1948 to 1960. It is located on a hill next to the Malaysian Parliament House.
The most underrated spot in KL, which makes this place a plus i.e. crowd is almost non-existent on a Sunday morning when I visited.
You may see the stone is engraved with classic bahasa "Untok mengingati jasa pahlawan2 yang gugor" Cool!
Dramatically impressing sculpture of the important battle in history of Malaysia. Very beautiful site around the Monument. Also place of good view.
Many years on and still very well preserved. One of must visit places to learn about the country's war histories.
