Early mornings can be breathtaking... it's just a little over a mile from the pier.
Park on Delaware Ave and walk in 5 min on the wetlands trail. save $10 get this view.

Tide pool marine life is fascinating at low tide (look for starfish). Photograph and look but don't touch!
We park on Delaware & head out to Wilder for a quiet west side run.
Parking on Delaware Ave is for free.

a quite nice beach suggested by my teacher who grown up at Santa Cruz.
They should post on their website if the monarchs are there or not. Paid 10 bucks for nothing.
Leave your dogs at home for this one, they can't go on beach or trails.
