Philly's oldest and favorite Indian restaurant!
My expectations were low and I was very pleasantly surprised! Naan was delicious once the container was refilled and the kheer was great.
Great place to try if you are new to Indian food. The buffet switches up periodically and it's a nice way to learn which dishes you like and which ones you do not.
Buffet. What more to say
Get the samosas!!
The cucumber salad is very good.
Buffet is always a good choice!
One take-out order of chicken makhani is enough to feed two. Order extra spicy.
The buffet is one of the better ones in the city!
Go on Sunday for the best Indian buffet you're going to find in Philly. Also, amazing lamb vindaloo, chicken tikka masala and gulab jamun.
No more ice cream as a dessert option for their buffet! Only rice or chocolate pudding 😕
The buffet is good but try ordering from the menu. The food will taste better.
The Dal Makhani is best I've had in Philly.
They offer buffet take-out (lunch and dinner) priced at only $5.50/pound... a steal! Also,10% student discount when you show your student ID!
This is the best buffet in the city! The place is super clean too:)!
samosas all day everyday
Taj Mahal is Indian Budweiser. Avoid.
This is average Indian food, one block away Sitar India has much more variety and better taste.
the vegan samosas are wonderful! the dal is consistently too watered down in my opinion though.
Pistachio ice cream <3
Inexpensive lunch buffet. Not my favorite Indian buffet, but you get free ice cream at the end. The mango ice cream tastes just like mango lassi!
The mango ice cream is a must!

The curries in the buffet are not spicy, they have good appetizers and ice cream included in the 9$ buffet
They now have samosa chat for $7
Best place in University City for Indian food.
