The New York Public Library's Mulberry Street Branch Library is located at the site of a former chocolate factory in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, historically known as the Cast Iron District.

Love the self-check out and outdoor book drop. Really nice inside since it's fairly new. There's a decent amount of seating and books to browse. A couple of guys who work the desk are friendly

Far bigger than it looks: took them a couple years to dig down 3 floors and install an elevator. This branch has so much to offer!!

this library is adjacent to some kind of holistic perfume store and they must share a vent because it smells like a dream. don't go down past the first floor as it gets dark and depressing.

This place is much bigger than it looks. Tons of seating on the main level, but also on the two basement levels. And free wifi!

Pretty, newly renovated library with lovely, large seating section and great kids' area.

There's power outlets for laptops (or whatever) at the very bottom of the benches on the street-level floor.

Walked by and thought it was some hipster book store. Then saw the NYPL sign. Whaaaaaaaat?! It was clean, spacious, nicely lit, and no hobos. Score!

Best library in the city. Avoid the 10 AM to 1 PM crowd because you'll be bombarded with baby strollers.

Clean, with ample reading/working space, but the internet is so slow you're better off browsing the online catalogue at home.

Don't even think about sitting in the children's section w/out a kid, even if just for a second + entire floor is empty - you will be told to move ASAP
