Phillip's Seafood in Terminal A is a great and Fresh place to eat.
Well organized with all things considered
Old airport in need of a renovation and care.
We checked in at United and were surprised at how smooth and pleasant it was. There were no big lines and the new food court has eatable food. Nice.
Men's bathroom in gates 20 to 27 on terminal a is downstairs and there is no elevator.
Lots of flights fly parallel to Manhattan on approach, which is good for the view. Once you land, though, you're in hell.
If you flyin out of A, I feel bad for you son/Flight was less than an hour, TSA a whole one.
Not that hard to get there from Port Authority, bus is nice and cozy, better to leave a 1hr reserve in case of a traffic jam in the tunnel
Maybe not as awful as LGA, but also not worth the expedition it takes to get here. Just fly from JFK and at least you'll have some amenities to distract yourself with.
Someone just yelled out for a doctor. It took a half hour for EWR to respond.
Travel Bound ;)
The traffic getting here is dicey, so allow extra time. You'll do better on 1-9 than the Turnpike or 78.
Plan ahead and show up early. Security is extra slow at Southwest Terminal A. Every single time.
Newly renovated. Bright and airy.
Only 40 min by public transportation! Much better airport than JFK.
Make sure you arrive either early enough or do the TSA Pre-Check during the holidays. Very long security lines!
International arrivals is a mess. WORST customs experience ever. 2 1/2 hours in line. Terminal B is a huge drawback. Its obvious that more immigration agents are needed.
Easiest way to get in and out of NY. This airport is quick to get through.
For a sure thing bet in 2016 bet on the BlueJays to win the world series :0)
Go private, it's the only way to fly!
Don't be fooled by the fact your gate is already printed on your boarding card- really don't bother going to your gate early- there is literally NOTHING here. This is the worst.
This place is magical! You walk down the jetway, sit down for a few hours. When you walk back out you are someplace totally different. Amazing!
Regardless of when you arrive at Term A, you will surely discover the incompetence of TSA and your fellow travelers.
In Terminal B if you want gum or other flight goodies be sure to stop at Hudson News in the hall leading to the gates before getting comfortable. Just a Duty Free store occupies the center area.
Never take a yellow cab from here. It's like getting robbed on the street.
It's a shame that international airport look like EWR, terminal B. Only one newspaper shop, small duty-free (very expensive) and few fast food restaurants.
United Airlines what a pain. Checked in suitcase was 1.5 pounds too heavy > 114 USD extra!?! And then the weight to check was not accurate
Terminal C is looking good. Had the breakfast ham and cheese sandwich at Proof - it had no ham and it was pretty damm expensive.
Get here way early .. Not because it's so fun to be here, but because the lines are always miserable.
Terminal B serving gates 41-47 has poor food choices. Eat before going through security.
Vacation season.. So crowded
Quick, fast and efficient. IMO, a better airport than LaGuardia.
Disgustingly dirty restroom
A good place for customs, immigration, security compared to iah. Reasonably efficient and most important, friendly staff. Good location for united lounge.
.waiting and waiting
Piece of shit this airport. Poor restaurants, you have to pay for the internet (only 30min available for free) and if you've a long stay better go into a company lounge and pay USD50 per person to eat
If you have time to kill (especially with kids) take the transfer bus between terminals. You'll get a unique perspective on the airport, driving under terminals and along the Tarmac. Kind of cool.
United mobile check in is great!
Some of the food lines move at a snail's pace. Be prepared of you have a tight connection.
Wear socks. The floor is filthy going through security. Disgusting.
If you want to go to Times Square you can take one of the Newark Airport Express busses (coach USA). It's really fast and it comes every 15 during the day.
Arrive a bit earlier on Mondays or equivalents for TSAPee Check at terminal C. Just not enough space or people.
Not my fave, but quick & easy.
Yep, Jersey at its best. Nasty, Smelly, Trashy.
EWR is about 40 minutes from NYC, has a humongous pick up area, a decent amount of shops, and is always a little bit cheaper to fly in/out of.
In terms of efficiency, size and simplicity of process by far the best of the NY airports
Well, security is a joke. I have TSA PreCheck and they didn't have that lane open but they kept one lane flowing quickly and built up another so that we were in security for about 45 minutes.
Taking uber? Make sure your uber ride owns a proper plate(not private) or else you both will get into trouble. 😁
