If you want first dibs on a seat, board on the track 2 side because sometimes the doors on that side open first (however, the doors on that side also close first, so dont do it if you are rushing.)

5-10 min. walk to Prudential Center indoors almost all the way - follow "Gateway Center" signs - you'll use a covered walkway to get across the street from the Pru Center - food and shops on the way

Newark PATH is the only thing giving Newark Penn a good name. It's inexpensive, reliable, and easy. Take advantage of it!

The side with the arrow pointing is the side the doors open first. They take turns one side opens first then on the next train the other side opens

Take the NJ transit train to NYC only 15 mins, path takes 33 mins. But ticket price is higher than path. Money and time, you choose. :)

You can get on the PATH from two platforms. The Track 2 platform side is usually less crowded in the morning than the Track 1 side.

It's way cheaper than NJ Transit, but also much more slower and faulty. Decide which is more valuable: your money--or time and sanity?
