    Don't have change? There's a booth that will turn dollars to coins at the base of Newport Pier. Will save you tons of time scrounging for a quarter here, a quarter there.

    From 1891 to 1907 this area was called McFadden Wharf and used as landing for ships unloading goods. After a storm destroyed the wharf in 1939 Newport Pier was built. · September 27, 2012
