Make sure to double check all your hand carry baggage. Any item that has a metal are not allowed. If you don't want to pay 800php in TIGER AIRWAYS the most EXPENSIVE checkin baggage. Unlike cebu pac.

AirAsia International Departure passengers are crammed in a small area for check in. AirAsia only has two lines for everyone checking in: there's no separate line for people who checked in online.

Tip from Javalava Manila Tours: Small airport terminal but has all the necessary facilities except a smoking lounge. Smoke before you check in. More tips visit

Looking for a roadside currency exchange or street food? Walk out of the terminal, turn right, continue for a few min., cross the main road towards the gas station and you'll find them right behind.

This is an old airport which handle some domestic flights. Expect the ambiance of an old style airport. But it has a wifi and some store for your butterfly stomach.

Other reviews mentioned eating ahead or bringing food in. If you're not looking for anything extravagant or special (allergy or other dietary needs) this place has enough cafes to hold you off.

You can park at salem complex while waiting. If you've got a car, 10 minutes is free, 30 for the first 2 hours and 10 every succedding hour. Grab hood food than waste your gas up waiting.

Not bad. Well ventilated, more personnel to assist passengers of their needs. System has improved compared to last year. Oh, terminal fee saved! Thank you Zest Air for the Piso fare! :-)

5ft from entrance, security check. 5 steps, travel tax. Right in front of you, checkin. 20ft away, immigration. Before you know it, boarding area. It's that cramped. Restroom surprisingly clean though

Though the line at Tiger Air's check-in counter was long, the wait was relatively short (15 mins). Meanwhile, at Air Asia, customers were complaining loudly and angrily about the inefficienct system.

For transfers to other airport terminals, look for the "transfer" desk near the baggage claim area where you can get a free shuttle service. Waiting time takes about 45min, travel time takes 5min.

Super smooth check in with Air Asia. The counter agent was extremely kind. There is food in here NO NEED to buy food outside to bring. Overall this terminal exceeded my expectations.

For local flights, arrived just right on time before the gate closes. Coming early will cause more inconvenience because the lobby and the waiting area by the gates are very small and crowded.

Exceed my expectation given that it is old.. strong wifi and clean comfort room. Kiddie lounge is situated on international boarding so not sure if domestic passsengers can get in.

The International Gates will only open at 4:00-4:30 am. Plus, there is no food concessionaire inside the international boarding gates except for an AirAsia Cafe cart.

Want to bring your car? There's a guarded parking lot in front of the terminal beside the jollibee-mang inasal complex that charges php50.00 for overnight parking. Park and fly charges php500 a night!

Aka the Domestic Terminal. This airport now serves intl flights (MNL-SNG); hence, it is an international airport. That's why it is now stimes called NAIA 4 or N.A. International Airport.

NAIA Terminal 4's area for international flights is so small that passengers often have to wait outside in the heat for an hour or so before they are allowed to enter the terminal for check-in.
  • Querriel Arvy M.
Zest-Air sucks! Why did Air Asia bought this crappy airline? Their tripod policy for check-in is a scam! 1.5kl = P340. I always bring this tripod dom. & int. but not being charge by other airlines!

Want to save on cab fare? Don't take the yellow airport taxis; take the regular white taxis instead (however, you have to walk towards the exit gate of the airport to find them).

Better come early for checking in. Manual weighing scale, no air con, long Q with 1 check in counter, 1 tax paying counter...Pay additional 550 peso yet the air port in poorrrrrrr condition...

Be here early for your flights out. Security is a bottleneck. For arrivals, skip the expensive taxi stands and get a metered cab out on the street. Much cheaper.

No frills! The x-ray, PH travel tax counter, terminal fee counter & immigration are just 10-15 ft. away from each other in the Pre-Departure Area.

If you happen to check-in too early. make sure you seat nearest to the Boarding Gates. The intercom is not really audible, and there's a lot of noise.

Carts are not available at the taxi drop off area which is a hassle if you have lots of things with you... And don't expect the guards to get one for you! 👎

This will be the 1st and the last time I fly with AirAsia. Ridiculous airline, they charge Php360 per kilo for the excess baggage knowing it's Holiday season. I have to pay more than my actual ticket

For OFWs, officials checking exit clearance in NAIA are unpredictable. Most of the time they divert passengers back to NAIA 3 for validation of OEC then they come back to NAIA 4 for check-in.

Zest air flight to Iloilo last August 2 2013 was very much delayed. 655AM flight was moved to 745PM. Very inconsiderate of people's schedule and poor service. We stayed for almost 13 hours in T4.

This is Manila's oldest airport passenger terminal, built way back in 1947. It has been refurbished somewhat and now has a prayer room, a kiddie lounge, and best of all - free wifi!
