Give the server a taste you like and let them make the drink, you will not be disappointed!
Dealers Choice resulted in an amazing concotion involving Basil eau de vie and a bunch of other delicious things. Be sure to make reservations in advance.
Ramos Fizz and Gin Gin Ginger, nuff said.
I'm visiting from NY and this spot gives mixology bars back home some competition. Gentleman by the name of Trevor makes some very good drinks.
Don't judge your experience on one drink. We had two bartenders - one was fantastic and one was awful. Don't be afraid to request who and what you want. It's worth it, I promise.
Everything is amazing. Go for dealer's choice- try everything. Mixologists are superb!
Fantastic bar staff. Go with the Dealers Choice.......cuz they know better than you do.
Woohoo. THE place to be in SD for early drinks. Very small though, call a few days ahead to reserve a spot or be prepared to wait. Also, FYI: 5 ppl/party max.
Trevor is the best! Can't go wrong with Dealer's Choice- tell him what you like and he'll craft something perfect :)
Book in advance to get to the secret bar!
Eric is the man!
It's Behring the barrel wall
Get the dealers choice. They know what they are doing
You must try this place if you're in San Diego. Awesome atmosphere.
Text for reservations and get a seat at the bar. The godfather will kill you but it's delicious and you need not drunk anything else.
I asked the bartenders to make something that tasted similar to a pumpkin spice latte. My drink was amazing! Megan and Hayley don't disappoint.
Duke and Duchess!
Really cool spot hidden in gaslamp district. entrance is behind a fake wall. bar tender meg is adorable and meticulous in her drink making. Find the time 2 make it 2 this place & you won't regret it.
Check in as advanced as possible
Probably the coolest place I've ever been for a drink. It's a must-go if you're in San Diego. That is, if you can find it! ;)
If you can't get a res show up early and they might fit you in.
What an experience... Only way to get a reservation is by texting them, not too difficult on a Wednesday night!
Try the Fashionably Late - The huge clear ice cube in every drink makes this place one of the best in San Diego.
Amazing fun! Dealers choice for three rounds and each has been amazing!
Text to make a reservation! It's almost impossible to get in otherwise!
Try the Lin Pan Alley
Try the And Maria
If you don't order a Dealer's Choice, I'll reach through Teh Interwebz and smack you.
What to Order || Dealers Choice: a daring move if you're the picky sort, but this is one of the few places that you should just trust the bartender and taste something different for the first round.
Push the wall of kegs and don't wear a baseball hat...don't me that guy like me.
You can only book the reservation through text (and a week ahead of time is recommended). Go for the "dealer's choice" as they'll make a cocktail from whatever liquor you like!
Just go with dealer's choice. I know you THINK you know what you want best, but just sit back, relax, and let the mixologist do their job...
Phone number is still good. Manhattan is excellent!
Sundays are the best time to get last-minute reservations, and the Dealer's Choice is a must for something unique!
Ask for Ryan's secret gin infused with scorpion pepper!
Door is a wall of kegs... Try the imperial buck, burning daylight, or la introduccion.
If you are a vodka drinker, order a Tom Collins. You won't regret it.
Gordon's Cup is the best
If you like smoky drinks, try the Flores with mescal.
Easy to get in If you know the right people..just saying
Skulls on the wall..scary
Walk in on a weekday.
I made reservations an hour before. Granted it was a Tuesday.
Reservations only! Reservations must be made exactly one week in advance... not five days, not three days, but one week!
Dealer's Choice. You can never go wrong.
ask to sit at the bar
Bourbon smash... Check it off
Pro tip: although this is a speak easy (which seems cool) this place is boring and mundane. Plus no beer. Stick to the neighborhood.
Be courteous and curious. You won't regret it.
