  • Simple Discoveries
Consider using the new express bus to get in/out of town. Far cheaper than the hustlers or a taxi but not as arduous as the public bus. Look for Bus 86 for 30,000 VND.
  • Simple Discoveries
Ignore anyone offering a ride into Hanoi. It's a rip-off. There's a new shuttle bus running into Hanoi run by Transerco for 30,000 VND. Look for the yellow & orange bus (No. 86) on right as you exit.

The terminal is parallel to the runway, so it's a great place to watch planes take off and land.

Only one person manning the visa on arrival desk. The other one seems to be watching something seemingly amazing on his phone. 50+ people waiting. It's been 30 minutes already. What a joke

Getting a visa is a pain. Saw a Chinese lady bribing Vietnamese official to speed up the process. Expect long queues if you are not from the list of privileged countries. Free wifi as a compensation

Very good international terminal. ATMs and fast food can be found here. Immigration takes a long time, expect 1h30 or more of many flights come at the same time.

T2 has free WiFi and Popeye's and overpriced Star Cafe after security. Immigration is slow but makes security quick. Burger King before immigration is your best bet for food.

If you need to go from domestic international, have enough time to walk quite a ways (or cash to hire a taxi) or you'll miss your flight!

If you land at domestic and have to get to international, be prepared for a mile long hike outside to switch. Or, hire a golf cart driver.
