Awesome, friendly staff; edamame hummus and pork belly were very tasty.
Really friendly service and inventive cocktails. Their ramen burger is very tasty.
Japanese inspired tapas place. Bacon-wrapped mochi.
I mean yeah, the ramen burgers. But also the fried Mochi
Edamame hummus and taro chips are yummy! Ramen broth was a bit thick/salty, but noodles were great :)
Forget that you hate them, get the sprouts.
Try the chicken wings
This intimate Japanese izakaya is the home of the original Ramenburger, offering different variations such as the Miso Ramenburger and the Veggie Ramenburger.
Try a ramenburger.
Ramenburger! Do it. The fried Brussels sprouts are also bomb.
Pork belly and chicken wings were good! Ramen burger was super greasy, noodles were nearly burnt and not worth the 40-minute wait. Service was eh. Promising but not a Mission must-do.
Forced my friend to take home & pay for something he didn’t want/order because they got it wrong. Terrible service. Won’t return
Try the Loco Moco - #kvpinmybelly - Crazy good ground beef, gravy and fried egg over rice for #brunch in #SF Mission.
Ckicken wings are a winner. If you like fish, the hamachi kama is fabulous
Veggie skewer platter. Yeah you heard me. Do it.
My current must-order: the Japanese breakfast at brunch. Past favorites: the chicken wings, the grilled tripe in sauce (RIP), and the oxtail ramen (RIP).
Smallest bowl of ramen I've ever seen, delicious though. I made a reservation and got here 45 min before they closed but was still rushed to order and told I would be last table of the night.
Really fresh sashimi. Try to make it in time for the dinner dine about town!
Nothing too special but great for groups. Grab a few pitchers of Sapporo, order as many small plates as your stomach desires, and enjoy a chill meal.
Best chicken wings in the world. Be sure to save your leftover sauce to dip other stuff in too.
They also offer cooking classes. Fun!
Agedashi tofu is noms
The bacon wrapped mochi was really good!
Ramen is meh, but the bone marrow is legit.
Hyped way too much. Service was terrible and service staff were jerks. Can find better yakitori elsewhere like at Ippuku. Squid was undercooked, buns were undercooked. Only savior: eggplant.
Get the Kobe Beef Donburi Set for sunday brunch. It's excellent.
Japanese stout is quite nice
Ramen is simply not good. Not sure what the hype is about. noodles were not fresh, egg yolk was cold, too salty. Pork belly was decent, but nothing special.
OXTAIL JUS over the beef donburi is rich, sticky liquid heaven.
Chicken karage and bacon-wrapped mochi were the highlights. Pork belly was alright, but tan tan men and ox tail ramen were terrible and overpriced. Walk the extra 3 blocks to Ken Ken Ramen instead-
Waiter taking too big a tip for granted. Not bringing back change at all is rude. Makes me not want to tip. Or come back.
Lots of parking on Bartlett between 21st and 22nd
They stop serving ramen @ 7:30pm so come early & order!
Ramen alert! New chef brings whole new beef broth ramen. Your choice of beef cheek, oxtail, beef tongue, or short rib.
The Kaiseki tasting menu takes you through a range of flavors and textures in seven different dishes, starting with the sakizuke—amuse bouche—and finishing with a bowl of fresh, local fruit.
Amazing hamachi Kama
Great food. Gil knows his sake.
Grilled Pork Belly: not to be missed! Miso eggplant also good. Take advantage of HH 5-8pm!
Oooh ramen with pork belly is back! YES
Try the Chicken Heart Skewers - I never thought hearts on a stick would be my thing... But these are SO tasty! #oishii
Try the tonkatsu - #Japanese BBQ - excellent with the rice balls
Try the Spicy Asian Chicken Wings - Sooo good!
Try the Chicken Wings
Food is great! Their wings are seasoned with nuoc mam! Just like mom's!
