People tend to check in during these times:
Students, being your student ID card to get in free.
Please be polite to the gallery attendants. It's just courtesy and good karma.
Don't hug the statues. You can't touch the statues you will get busted.
Lots of Degas, great Asian sculptures downstairs, and I really like the modern stuff in there too. Great pieces.
Best art museum in Los Angeles
If you'd like to visit for free, show your valid student I.D. or plan your visit between 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. the first Friday of every month.
Wonderful museum. Be sure to set aside time for the 19th century gallery - great collection of impressionists Degas, Manet, Cézanne, Toulouse Lautrec & others
Please don't let your kids run around like savages here. The employees are not your nannies. Thank you.
I work here.
Best museum in LA. Excellent 19th and 20th century collection as well as South Asian art. Managable and great.
Loved it all...get the Turkey Brie sandwich for lunch!
Great collection. Better than Getty. Love the 19th and 20th sections.
Enjoy the fabulous collection of art by Edgar Degas.
The best collection on the West Coast. Amazing.
Great selection of impressionist, post-impressionist, pointillist, and cubist art.
Be sure to check out the sculptures in the garden
Interesting collection of sculptures from asia from the early century located at the lower level
Fantastic collection. Make sure to tout the sculpture garden. A beautiful setting.
There is a lovely outdoor eating area with great sandwiches and salads!

Must watch the Sister Wendy video if you've never seen it...gives great perspective on the museum's collection. Be sure to visit Brancusi's 'Bird in Space'
Been here it's a really nice museum especially the sculpture garden outside.
Always something interesting on display being showcased here. Decent food in the café but, bring a sack lunch better & have lunch out on the grass by the parking lot. http://www.nortonsimon.org
Wonderful, wonderful collection spanning Impressionism to East Asian art. Be sure to not wear a large tote as they will make you check it.
Fabulous museum. The Asian collection is excellent. Always enjoy the Degas and 19th and 20th century work.
Hit the outdoor garden before dark.. Worth seeing
The best place to hang out is the statue garden. It's gorgeous and serene. I also love the impressionist wing.
Great collection of paintings and sculptures. Very intimate and interesting. Has many renowned impressionist artists' work. Walk around the garden is a must.
Wonderful SMALL museum. The one you see on the Rose Parade broadcast every year.
Try to ignore the rather overbearing guards to enjoy one of the best collections in California. Gorgeous lighting and surroundings!
Get the audio tour. Many of the items have descriptions for kids, which adults will enjoy too. It's only $3.
Absolutely NO Food or Drinks inside the building! Even baby formula! That's absolutely ridiculous but you can go outside to their garden cafe for a decent meal that's highly over priced instead. :/
Pasadena’s Norton Simon Museum has an encyclopedic collection. Don’t miss the fantastic Indian art, installed by Greg Walsh of Frank Gehry’s office, and Francesco di Giorgio Martini’s Fidelity, 1495.
Watch The Films & Explore The Grounds :-D
Very nice museum; very large for the area and has some really famous pieces of art as well as some ancient statues (c. 1st century).
I like to go to the back of the garden where the tables are and read a book.
It's free admission the first Friday of the month, 6pm - 9pm.
The Thai Curry soup is good here
Eine großartige Sammlung französischer Impressionisten erwartet die Besucher
