People tend to check in during these times:
Lines for IDs.
Bad cellphone reception on this block and anywhere in the building.
Picking up your check here may require a visit to 3 different rooms or having to enter another building around the corner down the block. BONUS TIP: The person holding the checks...may be out to lunch
If you need to replace your DOE ID do it at the end of the year. There is no wait :)
BEWARE! All the people at the fingerprinting area are already zombies. They aren't going to eat you...yet...but once the full-on zombie apocalypse hits, you better get the hell outta there QUICK!
If you need to be fingerprinted - get there early
Make copies- they lose everything, get proof that you were there, get names of everyone you speak to. nobody is held accountable or knows what they're talking about. Keep up the good work Bloomberg!
Bring something to read
Come with everything filled out, checks out of envelopes, dated and signed for hr fingerprinting process. No cash!
The folks doing fingerprinting here rock the digital format, which would be utterly awesome if they weren't two-finger typers with limited training in efficiently using their computers.
Arrive early (9am) otherwise you'll be here all day...like me.
