Always check the weather before you get here. Ocean Beach is amazing on a sunny day, but cold and windy on a cloudy one. My favorite drive in SF.
A little chilly but gorgeous!
Great place to watch the sunset, if it's not foggy.
Great place to watch the sunset.
Often Windy, but incredibly beautiful!
Beautiful views! Where else can you see the beach and mountains all at once?
Amazing big long waves assuming that you've got the strength to get out there. Beginners stay away and go to Pacifica instead.
Really big beach. Nice place to surf !
Nefis bir plaj ama türkiye,de köpeğime yapılan hayin terörün sonucu hiç tat alamadım burdan :(
Due in part to its sometimes inhospitable weather (high winds, cold weather & fog), it was largely undeveloped throughout most of SF's early history, when it was known as part of the "Outside Lands"
Ocean Beach runs along the west coast of San Francisco at the Pacific Ocean. It's adjacent to Golden Gate Park, the Richmond District, & the Sunset District
Beautiful place to go by bicycle :D
Great place to watch the surfers, or park to go in yourself! Technically illegal to sleep in your vehicle, but if you're gonna do it, this parking lot is the place to be ! #vanlife
Perfect for long walk... the light in december is incredible..
It's been a while.
Come here in the early morning and you'll likely find some surfers, seagulls, and misty clouds.
This is precisely the spot that makes San Francisco so awesome.
Come with a picnic and watch the sunset.
Great beach day
Countries longest urban beach*. (That's what someone told me one day, so it's fact)
Get a breakfast sandwich from Devil's Teeth and then hunt for sand dollars on the beach to burn off all that bacon, cheese, and buttery biscuit. Heaven.
The ocean is good here. Great spot for dogs.
The land of beauty sand.
A great place to catch the sun setting after a hike through land's end.
A beach in SF. Who would have thought? It's the end of the Earth.
I grew up in Southern CA. By comparison, this beach is disappointing. However, I like to stop here on a bicycle ride, they view is calming and relaxing - but caution it can be very windy.
Don't forget your sunscreen and a bottle os water
Always the first place I head when I get to SF. Walk along the Pacific. Walk up to nearby Cliff House. Make sure to bring warm clothes, much colder and windy then the heart of the city.
FREEZING. Always. Bring a jacket, even if the sun's out.
Look for the old shipwreck around Ortega St. at low tide.
I love you Ocean Beach
Tourists and hipsters flood the beaches at Lincoln near the last N Judah stop and by the SF Zoo. If you have a car, travel anywhere past these spots for peace and quiet.
Bring a windbreaker, even on a sunny day. And bring your small dog for a walk every Saturday at 10am. It's been going for 8 years strong!
Try the ocean! It's salty!
Amazing view at the fire pit 17
Adjacent to the Great Highway, Ocean Beach has few tourists, no highrises and plenty of ocean vibes (think: shorebirds, surfers and beach bonfires). Go for a run!
Bay waters are calm and boring. Drive the 1 and see the real ocean (and possibly Japan on a clear day). Check out Sutro Baths and Cliff House on your way.
Nice place for a romantic stroll in the evening
so windy and so so sandy, but gosh what a good view!
Walk along the shore, hide on sandy dunes from icy wind from ocean, relax.
Get there early to get a fire pit
One of the good days to enjoy the water.
Take the N Judah to the front of the dunes (last stop) then get a milkshake right as you get off at java beach. Then enjoy the beach with a picnic and stay for sunset if clear.
Best place to watch the sunset in San Francisco
Head up the cliff to the cliff house for a nice view and drink
the pacific ocean sure is grand
Just sit at the edge of the beach & let the waves wash your stressful day away!
