Small, but worth the visit. Good information about the "economics" and "game theory" of the slave trade and the different stakeholders involved. Has student discounts ($5).

Lots of interesting info but light on the artifacts. Best to talk with descendants of those sold here for a personal and real story.

Used to hold slave auctions in the early 1800's. In honor of Black History, check out these noteworthy examples of African-Americans' accomplishments: http://bet.us/BHM"

Mostly reading, and a little pricey considering we did the entire thing in just under 25 minutes. But the staff was friendly and we did learn quite a bit.

Excellent museum. Most of the information you have to read from their displays and so it is not ideal for young children.

This museum is the only known former slave auction gallery still in existence. It tells the story of Charleston's role in the inter-state slave trade. It focuses on the history of the specific site.
